About This Game

The sun has stopped setting over Velmora.

Thirty years ago, Aldric Vane sealed the Hollow King beneath the castle of Gravenhold. Six Raven Wardens gave their lives so the seal would hold, and Aldric came home alone to the quiet fishing town of Ravenford. He hung up his sword, grew old, and tried to forget.

Now the sky burns in an endless red dusk. The dead walk the wharf, ghouls block the roads, and a cult that calls itself the Ashen Choir is pulling the seal apart, nail by nail. The Wardens are gone. Their oaths are not. Aldric is old, scarred and the last of his order, and he is the only one left who remembers how the Hollow King was bound.

Ravenford: The Last Raven Warden is a dark fantasy 2.5D beat 'em up with action RPG progression. Fight your way through twelve story chapters, uncover what really happened on the night of the sealing, and face the horrors waiting at the end of every road.

A journey across a dying land

Your hunt begins on the burning wharf of Ravenford and leads across the whole of Velmora. Cross Stonebridge Pass where gallows line the road, wade into the fog of the Weeping Marsh, and cut through the brambles of Thornwood Hollow where hunters went in and never came out.

Climb to the Ashen Monastery as ash falls like snow, follow the night carts down the Gloamfield Mill Road, descend into the cursed mines of Karrow, cross a frozen mountain pass, and break the hymn of the Crimson Cathedral before you finally stand before the walls of Gravenhold.

Every chapter is a painted world of its own, with its own creatures, its own music and its own story. Along the way you will meet Mirela, the tavern keeper who never stopped believing in you, Brother Osric, the priest who fled the Choir with its secrets, and Tamsin, a young girl whose family was taken to the monastery.

Sword, sigil and steel nerves

Combat is fast, heavy and readable. Chain sword combos, jump over sweeping slams, dash out of danger and move freely across the depth of the road to flank your enemies or escape a crowd. Your strength is not only in the blade: five Raven sigils turn the tide of a fight. Tear through a line of foes with Crimson Slash, call down lightning with the Storm Sigil, scorch everything around you with Ember Burst, spin into the crowd with Whirlwind Strike, or raise the Ward of Dawn to shrug off every blow for a few precious seconds while your wounds close.

More than thirty-five kinds of enemies stand in your way, and every one fights differently. Blight Hounds rush you in packs, Thorn Archers keep their distance, Ghoul Shieldbearers block your strikes until you find an opening, Lantern Cultists hurl curses from afar, and Crimson Templars, Shade Knights and Void Priests punish every careless step. Learn them, or be buried with them.

Eleven bosses stand between you and the throne

Every road ends with a monster that was waiting for the last Warden. The Bone Brute guards the bridge, Thornheart guards the oldest tree of the forest, and the Ash Abbot still rings his cracked bell above the monastery. Beyond them wait the Hollow Miller, the Tide Horror, the Root Tyrant, the Frost Troll, the Pale Bishop and the Hollow Duke, and in the deepest dark of Gravenhold, the Hollow King himself. Each boss has its own attacks and rhythm, and the later ones will test everything you have learned.

Victory earns experience, gold and gems. Gain levels to grow tougher and spend attribute points on Vitality, Strength, Spirit and Agility to shape the Warden you want to be. Train with Mirela for extra power, and save your hard-earned gold for better blades, heavier armor and a rare talisman. Every weapon and armor you equip is visible on Aldric himself, so you can see your hunter change as the hunt goes on.

Supplies are precious. Health potions, explosive bombs, mana tonics and scrolls of recall are limited, and prices rise the deeper you travel. Deciding what to carry into each chapter is part of the fight.

Every chapter opens with a fully narrated, illustrated cinematic, and every victory reveals a little more about the night of the sealing and the price that was paid. The story builds toward two different endings. Earn three stars on every chapter and complete the bestiary to see the true dawn over Velmora.

Beyond the main story, take on 25 quests from the people of Velmora, unlock 20 achievements, and fill your bestiary with every creature you defeat. Replay levels to achieve better scores and prove that you can survive using fewer potions than before.
