Death 1879 contains graphic violence, blood, dead bodies, decapitation and dismemberment. It features psychological horror and mature themes of death, executions, severe punishment and persecution, with references to suicide and drugs and implied alcohol consumption. It also includes non-graphic references to sexual intimacy and character assets depicting underwear and partial non-sexual nudity, without graphic sexual acts. Violent events and their aftermath may recur depending on player actions and events in the village.
