What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“First Bag is a multiplayer game, and its heart is the balance between cops and robbers. That balance can only be achieved with real players. Early Access lets us see how people actually play, which tactics are too strong and which don't work at all, and lets us polish the game together with the community. We want every update to be shaped by player feedback, not just our own guesses.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for Early Access to last around 6–12 months. The exact length will depend on player feedback and on how much time balancing and new content take. We will leave Early Access once we're confident the game is ready.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add:

new maps and apartments to rob, with different layouts;
new abilities and skills for both cops and robbers;
an expanded collection of trophies and furniture for your apartment;
new achievements;
improved team balance and bot behavior;
better graphics, animations, sound and optimization;
new game modes, if the community is interested in them.
The exact set and order of new features will depend on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable. Currently available:

online "cops vs robbers" matches with voice chat;
robbing apartments, stealing valuables and trophies, and escaping;
baton combat and knockout kicks;
ghost mode for caught robbers;
spectating the match after escaping, and quickly jumping into another lobby;
superpowers and skills, plus a wheel of fortune;
your own apartment that you can decorate with furniture and trophies;
leaderboards and achievements;
bots that fill matches when there aren't enough players.
There may be bugs and rough edges in balance, and we're actively fixing them.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price after leaving Early Access, as new content and features are added. Players who buy the game during Early Access will receive all future updates at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

We read the Steam discussions and reviews and reply to them.

We plan to launch a Discord server where players can report bugs, suggest ideas and find teammates.

We will run polls on which maps, abilities and modes to add first.

We will publish news for every update with a detailed changelog.

We will work on the most popular community suggestions and credit them in update notes.”

About This Game

First Bag is an online third-person hide-and-seek game of cops and robbers.

Be an invisible robber and steal valuables from all over the map. But you're only invisible while you stand still!

Or be a sharp-eyed police officer who gets rewarded for taking robbers down.

Some sneak in for valuable loot, others patrol and wait for someone to slip up.

Grab the most valuable stuff, hide, distract — and get away before you're cuffed.

Playing as a robber:

You're invisible as long as you stand still.

Stuff your bag full of cash. The bag fill indicator is in the top right corner of the screen.

Once your bag is full, run for the exit. Every robber gets their own exit on the map, and an arrow above your head points the way.

Valuable trophies spawn on the map, and when you steal them, they go to your lair. Keep them and admire them, or sell them. Every trophy is unique and carries a history of its owners — other players.

Keep it quiet: cops can hear footsteps and noise.

Caught? Kick the cop, knock him out and run for it.

Made it to the escape point? The loot is yours. Then watch the rest of the match or jump straight into another lobby.

Playing as the police:

Patrol, look for clues and follow the noise. You have two weapons: a baton for close combat and a stun gun you can shoot.

Return stolen trophies to their place and get rewarded for it.

The baton settles it: stun the robber and finish him off before he comes to.

Work as a team and block the exits — nobody gets away with the bag.

Out of the game? It's not over yet!

A caught robber or a knocked-out police officer has a chance to get back into the match!

Progression and collection

Unlock superpowers and skills that fit your playstyle.

Spin the wheel of fortune and win prizes.

Collect trophies and show them off in your apartment — let everyone see who the top thief is.

Stay in touch

Built-in voice and text chat: coordinate with your team, distract your opponents, or just laugh at a botched chase.
