Joan Wesk was an agent once. She walked away from that life and tried to leave it behind. Then she came home to find her beloved cat murdered by the people she used to work with, and the rage took over.

Now it's one floor at a time, one room at a time, until nobody from her past is left standing.

Joan Wesk took first place overall as chosen by participants at the inaugural Game Gauntlet Jam x Santa Fe. It was ranked #1 of 32 entries by the jam's own participants, and also placed #1 in Gameplay, Scope and Theme Execution.

Changes implemented from jam feedback

• Precision over panic. Attacks and dashes run on cooldowns, so button-mashing gets you killed. Every slash has to land, and every dash has to count.
  
• Aim where you look. Joan follows your mouse, giving you tight, deliberate control in every fight.
  
• Know your enemy. Clear enemy indicators let you read every threat in a room before you commit.
  
• A growing rogues' gallery. New enemy types each demand a different approach.
  
• Rooms that fight back. Obstacles and objectives turn each room into a tactical problem, not just a body count.
  
• Upgrade between the bloodshed. Catch your breath in safe rooms between fights and shape Joan's skills through an upgrade tree.
  
• A striking blood-red monochrome look. Stark black-and-white pixel art soaked in crimson.
  
• Handmade by one developer. Every piece of art, audio and music was created by Cedric Quilal-lan.
  
• Play your way. Full support for both keyboard and mouse and gamepad.
