About This Game

Five million clovers. One of them has four leaves.

That's the whole idea. Somewhere in this field is a single four-leaf clover, and you're going to find it.

You start with your bare hands. Pick a clover. Pick another one. Sell them at the Clover Co-op for a cent each, save up for a pair of scissors, and keep going. Every tool clears faster than the last, and every clover you cut is one less place for the lucky one to hide.

From bare hands to a combine harvester

  • Work your way up through scissors, shears, a sickle and a scythe to a push mower, a ride-on mower, a tractor with a flail mower and finally a combine harvester.
  • Sharpen your blades, fit a bigger grass box, tune the engines, buy bigger hoppers and get the co-op to pay you more per clover.
  • Build an overhead clover belt across the field so your harvest rides back to the co-op on its own, or set down drop bins wherever you're working.

The field won't make it easy

  • Blades can't cut the four-leaf clover. Heard a clink and one clover is still standing? Take a closer look.
  • 250 five-leaf clovers pay a nice bonus. They're still not the one.
  • 150 stones and bits of scrap metal hide under the clovers and wreck your blades. The workshop next to the co-op fixes them, for a price.
  • 600 lost things are buried out there, 32 kinds in all: bottle caps, horseshoes, dentures, a TV remote, a message in a bottle, a dinosaur tooth and a meteorite. Fill your collection book.

Track it down

Later on you can buy some help. The dowsing rod twitches harder the closer you get. Clover the sniffer dog goes wild when the four-leaf is near (she just can't tell you where). The survey drone scans whole squares of the field and marks them clear or lucky on your map.

Hunt together... or keep it secret

Up to four farmers can share one field, online or over LAN. The money is shared, the machines are shared, and prices go up with every farmer so the hunt still takes a while. Whoever finds the four-leaf decides what happens next: tell everyone and celebrate, or slip it into their pocket and watch their friends keep searching.
