Hunt 600 beasts that nobody announces: you won't know what you're facing until it's right in front of you. Forge gear from what they leave behind, hunt solo or with up to three friends online, fight for glory in the Colosseum and build a house to show off your trophies.

About This Game

Every hunt is a mystery

No board tells you what you're hunting. You leave the village, follow the tracks across the map, and meet your prey when it's already in front of you. Only by defeating it do you learn its name.

600 beasts, three tiers of hunting

  • Solo: just you against the beast. Beat your first one to unlock the rest.

  • Group: one to four hunters online. The beast grows tougher with every hunter, and the beasts you've defeated come along as your pets.

  • Abyssal: the toughest beasts in the game, with your pet and an ally you captured fighting by your side.

Every week, the Abyss of the Week puts the same beast and the same map in front of everyone, with leaderboards for solo and group times.

Ten weapons, ten ways to fight

Great sword, sword and shield, dual blades, long sword, hammer, spear, axe, bow, crossbow and war horn, each with its own combos, guard and ranged attack. Master every weapon the more you use it.

There are no health bars: read the beast. When it limps, it's weak, and it will run for its lair.

Break, capture, forge

Break parts for rare materials, set traps to capture beasts alive, and forge armor from each monster's family and element, along with upgrades for your weapon. Beasts also leave behind skills that you equip before every hunt.

The Colosseum

Hunter against hunter, one on one, each commanding a beast captured in Abyssal. Fights take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays, the final on the last Saturday of the month, and one Indomitus Heros is crowned for every weapon, shining in gold until the next month.

A village and a house of your own

Forge, workshop, canteen, markets, pens, training grounds and a trophy shrine. Build your house piece by piece, furnish it, display your trophies and open your doors to other hunters. Every month, the most voted houses are featured.

Six biomes

Ancient forest, swamp, frozen peaks, desert of ruins, jungle and the Abyss, each with its own tracks, resources and dangers.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Bestia Ignota contains frequent fantasy violence. Players hunt large, menacing fantasy monsters with swords, axes, hammers, spears, bows and crossbows, and in the optional Colosseum mode hunters can also fight each other. Hits are shown with impact effects and the monsters stagger, limp and fall when defeated, but there is no realistic blood, gore or dismemberment. Some creatures are designed to look frightening and may unsettle younger players. There is no sexual content, nudity, drug use, self-harm or gambling. Online features let players visit other players' houses and chat with friends; this player content is not moderated.
