What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The mowing, machine-building and exploration systems are playable, but the way they fit together is still evolving. Early Access lets us work with players on progression, discovery pacing, vehicle handling and automation, so the farm stays enjoyable beyond the first few sessions. Player feedback will help us decide what to deepen and what to simplify.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately six months from its launch. This is an estimate, not a fixed release date; the schedule may change as development and player feedback shape the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to deepen the existing mowing, machine-building and exploration experience, with more variety in discoveries and machine configurations, clearer progression, and better automation workflows. We also aim to improve onboarding, interface usability, localization, performance and stability. The scope and priorities may change in response to player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes a continuous English countryside farm, ride-on mowing and persistent cutting progress, a modular vehicle workshop, on-foot exploration, signal-box restoration, hidden cellars and collectible deliveries, farm-shop income, equipment upgrades and robotic mowers. Day/night cycles and weather are also included. Progression, content variety and balancing are still being developed, and bugs or performance issues may occur. Save compatibility is not guaranteed throughout Early Access; changes may require a new save, and we will explain any such requirements in update notes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The base price will be the same during Early Access and at full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will use the Steam Community discussions for feedback, bug reports and suggestions, and share development progress and changes through Steam announcements and update notes. We are especially interested in mowing feel, custom machine handling, exploration, progression and automation. Feedback will inform our priorities, although we cannot promise to implement every suggestion.”

About This Game

A little mowing. A little wandering. A place to make your own.

Leave the rush behind and settle into the English countryside. In Slow Mowing, overgrown meadows give way to freshly cut paths, quiet drives lead to unexpected discoveries, and a neglected farm slowly comes back to life.

Hop on your mower, choose a direction, and enjoy making a visible difference.

Find your flow

There’s something satisfying about turning a tangled patch of grass into a neatly cut meadow. Follow the field’s contours, carve out winding trails, or settle into long, steady passes. Watch your progress take shape across one continuous countryside landscape.

Build your kind of mower

Head to the workshop and put together a machine of your own. Combine frames, engines, wheels, and cutting decks, then take your creation out into the fields. Experiment with different builds to find the balance of handling and cutting power that feels right to you.

See what the grass has been hiding

Step off your mower and explore on foot. Restore regional signal boxes to reveal survey information, follow clues to hidden cellars, and recover objects left behind by the estate’s former owner. There’s more to this farm than a lawn that needs cutting.

Give your finds a new home

Bring recovered treasures back to your farm shop to build a collection and unlock a steady source of income. Sell your grass clippings, upgrade your equipment, and add robotic mowers to help care for the larger meadows while you explore.

Stay a little longer

Take a quiet drive beneath changing skies, watch the countryside shift from daylight into night, or find a favourite corner and enjoy the view. Whether you’re here to finish another field or simply unwind, there’s room to go at your own pace.
