“We want to use player feedback to refine the balancing and improve Jörmungandrs Journey. Early Access gives us the opportunity to identify issues in real play sessions, fix bugs and develop the existing game together with the community. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 3–6 months. This is an estimate rather than a fixed release date. The duration may change depending on player feedback and the work needed on balancing and bug fixes. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our focus for the full version is a more refined and balanced experience based on the existing game. We plan to improve balancing, address bugs and use player feedback to guide further adjustments. The exact scope of these improvements may evolve during Early Access. ”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the core gameplay, single-player, LAN and online multiplayer, as well as player customization and cosmetic unlock goals. Balancing is still being refined, and bugs may occur. These are the main areas we intend to work on during Early Access. ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price when the full version is released. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

Eat. Grow. Survive.

In Jörmungandrs Journey, guide a sea serpent through an underwater world full of prey and danger. Choose your targets, gather biomass and grow stronger. The creature that threatens you now could become your next meal.

Make every attack count

Hunt smaller creatures, keep your distance from larger predators and use your dash to attack or escape. Growth, power-ups and careful movement help you survive longer and push your score higher.

Play solo, together or against each other

Play on your own or join matches with up to eight players in total over the internet or LAN. Survive together in co-op, battle everyone in free-for-all or compete in team matches. Find online rooms through the room browser or join with a room code.

Your serpent, your style

Mix heads, bodies, tails and colors. Complete permanent unlock goals to earn more cosmetic options for your character.

  • Four difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard and Drengr.

Generative AI tools were used during the development of Jörmungandrs Journey to create and edit graphics, user interfaces, audio, text, translations and code. These contents are delivered with the game. No new AI content is generated during gameplay, and the game does not use external AI services.

    • OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
    • Processor: AMD Ryzen Z1 (ASUS ROG Ally)
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: Integrated AMD Ryzen Z1 graphics (ASUS ROG Ally)
    • Additional Notes: Tested on ASUS ROG Ally Z1 with Windows 11 and 16 GB RAM, using default game settings. Lower hardware configurations have not yet been tested. Internet connection required for online multiplayer.
