Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Frontier Planetfall with feedback from players who enjoy exploration, survival and building. Early Access will help us identify where progression, combat and long expeditions need refinement, and test performance across a wider range of PCs.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Early Access to last approximately 6–12 months. This is an estimate rather than a fixed deadline; the timing will depend on testing, player feedback and the work needed to reach a stable, polished release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to improve performance across a wider range of PCs, refine combat and progression, and polish building, exploration and the overall desktop experience. Player feedback will help us prioritize improvements to existing regions and systems. The scope and timing of these plans may change during development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes single-player exploration, resource gathering, crafting, shelter building, wildlife, combat, regional investigations, caves, boats, sky exploration and boss encounters. Worlds can be saved and continued, and compatible saves can be imported and exported. The game is still in alpha: bugs, performance issues and balance changes should be expected. Multiplayer is not included.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer the game at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price for the full release as the experience becomes more polished. We intend to announce any price changes in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Community Discussions for bug reports, feedback and suggestions, and publish development updates and patch notes on Steam. Feedback on performance, combat, building and progression will help guide our priorities.”
