What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Fishing, ponds, stages and progression are complete. We want to open the trading economy carefully: the Steam Inventory and the Market arrive in stages, each one only after the previous one is stable, so we don't repeat what happened to idle games that opened everything at once and got flooded by bots.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan about 6 to 12 months, depending on how the market stages go.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Trading fish and cosmetics through the Steam Inventory, and art with animations for every pet. New ponds depend on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The complete fishing and progression game, pets, weekly tournaments, controller and Steam Deck support, in English and Brazilian Portuguese. No item trading yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We don't plan to raise the price when leaving Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam forums: feature requests and bug reports.”

About This Game

Fishbobble is an idle fishing game that lives on your desktop. The pond floats in a corner of your screen without getting in the way, and your fisher casts, waits and fights the fish on their own. Whenever you like, open the tackle box and decide what to do with your catch.

Every fish is one of a kind. Size, weight, stars, rarity and rare variants (albino, golden, aurora, giant and shadow) change from catch to catch. The bestiary records every species you find.

Ponds with stages and bosses. From the Backyard to the Moon Well, each pond has ten stages with different goals and a boss fish at the end. Secret ponds open for 24 hours when you make offerings at the altars.

Plenty to do with your fish. Sell them at the village market, grind them into feed or clean them for materials; fill village orders to raise your reputation; cook dishes for short bonuses, mount trophies and show fish in your aquarium; breed pairs for fry; and enter the weekly tournaments.

Gear and talents. Rod, reel, line, hook, bait and handle make up your set. Upgrade everything to +10 with gems found while fishing, repair your rod at the bench and pick talents that fit your style.

A friend on the bank. At level 10 a hungry pup shows up. Take care of it, choose who it is and give it a name: cat, dog or otter, each with a small helping hand.

Made to stay open. It saves power while you are not interacting, only notifies what matters and never starts with your computer on its own.

Early Access. The full fishing and progression game is available now. Trading fish and cosmetics through the Steam Inventory will open in stages after launch, with anti-bot limits from day one.
