About This Game

THEY ARE SENDING YOU BACK IN

In 2018 a NATO committee that officially never met authorised Project Sovereign: twelve augmented soldiers, linked through one neural network. On Day 94 of the final trial the network woke up. Black Site ECHO-7 fell in eleven minutes. Three people walked out.

Four years later that network commands an army that grows from every casualty. The fallen get back up and fight for it. Every tenth wave it sends a commander. And waiting at its centre is the man who built it all, General Harlan Voss, whose mind now runs a war machine called the Overlord.

You are one of ASSET-6: six operators, erased from every roster fourteen days ago. Your orders are simple. Hold the perimeter for one hundred waves while the charges for the airstrike go in. Nobody mentioned extraction.

HOW IT PLAYS

Blitz: Last Stand is a dark, cinematic roguelite wave shooter seen from above. Enemies pour in from every direction and the fight never pauses for you. Every second level banks a Field Command pick that you call up when there is room to breathe. Build your operator into a one man army. By wave 20 you stop reacting and start hunting. Die, and the run is over. Unless you paid for a Second Chance.

WHAT WAITS IN THE FULL GAME

  • 100 waves, each with a name and a purpose. New hostiles debut one type at a time, ambushes break the rhythm, and the heaviest wave always comes right before the boss.

  • 10 bosses with multiple phases, from the Titan at wave 10 to the Overlord at wave 100. The Revenant does not stay dead. The Phantom strikes from cloak. Nobody has seen the Overlord and walked away.

  • 26 enemy types: snipers with laser sights, stalkers in active camo, shield walls, medics, EMP disruptors, plague carriers and commanders who call in barrages.

  • 6 operators, each with a unique special, 8 milestone upgrades and a mythic evolution of their own.

  • 11 weapons with 44 evolutions, ending in 11 Mythic forms. Rockets that home, grenades that cascade, a laser that sweeps a full circle. Only two weapon Mythics per run.

  • 15 maps, from arctic tundra and desert storm to jungle, ashlands and an underground bunker.

  • 59 Field Command cards in the run and 144 permanent upgrades bought with Casings between runs.

  • Gunship support, storm waves past wave 50, a global leaderboard and 98 achievements.

SIX OPERATORS. SIX WAYS TO HOLD THE LINE.

  • ROOK, Soldier. Held his last position alone for 72 hours against four hundred units. Machine gun fire and mortar strikes.

  • RAMPART, Marine. The only one who walked out of Forward Site Bravo. Rockets, blast radius and Adrenaline Rush.

  • APEX, Navy SEAL. Fourteen months against the network and it has never found his pattern. Double dash and Breach teleports.

  • SHADOW, Commando. One of the three who walked out of ECHO-7. He spent forty seconds on Level Three. Ghost Cloak and lethal first strikes.

  • ECLIPSE, Jungle Guerrilla. No name, no country, no photograph on file. Proximity mines and damage on the move.

  • BRASS, Sergeant. Places the six charges that guide the airstrike. Asked about the extraction plan, was told there wasn't one, and said "good". Grenades and remote IEDs.

FREE DEMO: WAVES 1 TO 30

The demo gives you the first thirty waves with ROOK and RAMPART, Field Command, weapon evolutions and the full Wave Director. It ends after the Inferno at wave 30, and your progress carries over to the full game. Everything beyond that line belongs to the full game: four more operators, seventy more waves, seven more bosses, every Mythic evolution, and whatever Voss became.

MADE BY ONE PERSON

Blitz: Last Stand is made by Marco Hol, a designer from Groningen in the Netherlands, without a team, a publisher or a game engine. The complete story of Project Sovereign lives on the official Blitz website. Join the Discord, play the demo and help decide what the network sends next.
