About This Game

The War Is Over. Time for the Quiet Life.

What happens when you pack ten war-weary lords into the same valley? No 3 AM offline raids, and no lonely solo grinding. You arrive with a bum leg, a deed to some frontier wasteland, and old Quartermaster Wendell—who refuses to let you sit still—moving in right next to nine other real-player neighbors. Here, swords hang on the wall while the orcs, undead, and dragons you hired at the tavern busy themselves helping you fish and run errands. Most days are spent dropping by neighbors' towns with gifts and competing over who grew the biggest cabbage. Only when monster tides and raiders foolishly ram the gates do all ten neighbors suit back up—because nobody interrupts our quiet life.

Savor the Simple Days

  • Tend a thriving garden: harvest top-grade crops to sell by the cartload or save for your own kitchen.
  • Cast a line at your pond alongside hired heroes from every race, logging rare catches into your fish compendium.
  • Cook your way: toss up to three ingredients into the pot and record every discovered dish in your cookbook. Crack the mystery of Grandma’s unfinished recipe page.
  • Townsfolk remember your kindness. Hessa, Pip, Gilda... everyone has their own little wishes. Help fulfill them, and your bonds will deepen day by day.
  • Listen to town gossip, read letters from afar, and open message bottles by the river—following clues to uncover hidden streetscapes and curios.

Build a Living, Breathing Town

  • Placement matters: tuck a lumber mill beside old trees and frame it with a fence to form a charming streetscape that boosts every building nearby.
  • Clotheslines, sunflowers, window boxes—build a storybook frontier town and pick your favorite architectural style right from the start.
  • Upgrade your Town Hall into a Stronghold, a Castle, and one day a Crown Keep; when the town gets crowded, buy new land and keep building.

Good Neighbors Beat Distant Kin

  • Your town shares the valley with nine others, all run by real players. On the day you move in, the neighborhood throws you a welcome party.
  • Drop by daily to swap gifts and local specialties; when someone builds a new house, head over to wish them a happy housewarming.
  • Harvest Fairs, Lantern Nights, and the monthly Hearthfire Frontier Games—bring out your best produce to compete with neighbors while the judges count every basket.
  • Run for Valley Lord: rename the valley, pick weekly commissions, and pin a message to the top of the community board.
  • Neighbors never attack each other. Over time, strangers naturally turn into fireside family.

Peaceful Days, Sharp Blades

  • Hire tavern heroes across 18 races: Humans, Orcs, Elves, Dwarves, Goblins, Gnomes, Undead, Naga, Tauren, Centaurs, Treants, Ogres, Trolls, Wolfkin, Foxkin, Bearkin, Dragonkin, and Pandaren. They help you fish, hunt, and run errands in peacetime, and suit up when trouble comes knocking.
  • Waves of monsters surge at the gates and raiders cross the border. Heroes at home automatically fight back, while neighbors march over with their heroes so the whole valley holds the line together.
  • Itching for a fight? Clear out monster camps and bosses in the forest, or march on rival valleys for bonus honor and rewards. Prefer not to fight? Guard your own homestead and your town will thrive all the same.
  • Losing stings, but it won't ruin you: a breached gate only costs some supplies, and your neighbors will rally to drive the raiders out.
  • Play for just a bit each day—your town keeps humming along at its own pace while you're offline.
