About This Game

10 days from becoming human. One night from becoming a suspect.

Harm no human for 1,000 days, and you can become one.
Baek Yeoul, a gumiho (kumiho), the nine-tailed fox of Korean folklore, has lived by that vow. As an investigator on Seoul's Hidden Side, she settles disputes among spirits, passes for human, and keeps her hunger in check.

Then, with the end of her vow in sight, a series of murders points back to the investigator herself.

Nine Tails, Ten Nights is a choice-driven interactive story set in modern Seoul. Search alleyways and crime scenes, weigh conflicting accounts, and make decisions before you have every answer.

One case, 3 playable perspectives

Play as Baek Yeoul, the fox-spirit investigator turned murder suspect; Kang Doyun, a detective searching for his missing partner; and Han Somi, seeking the truth behind her sister's death. Experience the same case from each character's place in the story.

Yeoul knows the rules of the Hidden Side. Doyun has access to investigation records. Somi has the original footage her sister left behind. New clues and emotions give scenes you've already seen a different meaning.

There isn't time to ask everyone

Examine a trace at the scene, or catch a witness before they leave? Investigation sections give you a limited number of actions. Choose whom to speak to and what to inspect. How you spend that time changes the clues you bring back—and the stories you miss.

Collect evidence. Put your judgment on the record.

Revisit messages and evidence in your notebook. Set two records side by side, look for contradictions, and form a hypothesis. New information can give you a reason to change your mind. Your investigation is about whom you believe, and why.

Endings shaped by your choices

Whom you trust and what you choose to reveal shape each character's ending. Their decisions come together to change relationships, personal fates, and Seoul after the case.

Story Flow maps the scenes you've visited and the branches you've discovered. See your current path alongside paths found in earlier playthroughs, and look back at where your choices led the story.

Earn trust. Keep your hunger in check.

Your answers shape people's reactions and their trust in you. Some decisions have a time limit. Yeoul also has a hunger she must resist. Solving the case and holding on to her wish to become human may pull her in different directions.

Walk through Seoul's everyday life and Hidden Side

In this Seoul, spirits worry about rent and wait their turn at a government office. Follow the case through Euljiro's passageways, beneath a bridge over the Han River, and into a worn rooftop room.

Angular, ink-lined portraits, 3D spaces, close-up illustrations, and cinematic sequences carry the conversations and the investigation.

  • A single-player story built around dialogue and investigation
  • Limited-action exploration and timed decisions at key moments
  • A notebook for comparing evidence and recording hypotheses
  • Relationships and story branches shaped by hunger, trust, and pivotal choices
  • Play one case from 3 different perspectives, and discover endings and epilogues shaped by dozens of combinations of your choices.
