What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Goblin Gunmaze is my first game, and I want to give it the time and care it deserves. Early Access lets me build on a playable foundation, learn from real player feedback, and improve the game before calling it complete.

I have a defined set of features, quality milestones, and development goals for the full release. Player feedback will help me refine those priorities, especially around combat, balance, multiplayer reliability, and making every match feel worth your time.

I also want to build a community that can help shape the game’s personality. Goblin Gunmaze doesn’t take itself too seriously, but I take making it fun seriously. The goal is something you can jump into when you have 15 or 30 minutes to spare, enjoy a little goblin chaos, and leave wanting another match.

Early Access gives us room to get there together, one well-tested improvement at a time.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have over 1000 power up / environment cards, add another 200 types of weapons with different skills/abilities/damage types, add additional environmental scenery and iterate on the design of the characters.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It is a functional cross-platform game where 4 players compete in an arena style game, each map the players can select a character and cards to add/change the initial build of their character.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No price increase is expected.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I will have bi-weekly polls to get a feel for how / what the community thinks should be added to make the game more fun.”

About This Game

Goblins. Guns. Bad decisions.

Welcome to Goblin Gunmaze, where the weapons are questionable, the walls are temporary, and your friends have suddenly become excellent target practice.

Pick your goblin and dive into a freshly generated maze for a frantic arena shootout. Everyone starts with the same humble revolver. Everyone would very much like to find something bigger.

Find something irresponsible.

Scavenge 18 weapons and introduce your opponents to fire, ice, poison, electricity, and the persuasive power of explosions. Swap guns as you explore, chase the good loot, and remember: a poisoned goblin can still hold a grudge.

Build a beautiful disaster.

Mix and match more than 100 cards that change your weapons, movement, defenses, traps, and skills. Create clever combinations—or discover that your extremely scientific strategy needs more explosions.

Environmental cards can change conditions across the arena. Because apparently being shot at wasn’t enough.

That wall looked expensive.

Blast through destructible walls to open shortcuts, escape trouble, or introduce yourself to someone who thought they had cover.

Carry two traps and leave surprises around the maze. Your traps are hidden from opponents and won’t trigger on you. Finally, a workplace that respects goblin safety.

New maze. Same terrible company.

Fight through ten environments, from torchlit caves and volcanic chambers to frozen tunnels, forests, and swamps. Changing layouts mean fresh routes, fresh ambushes, and fresh opportunities to get spectacularly lost.

Battle friends in free-for-all matches with up to four players, or sharpen your questionable talents against bots. Reach ten kills before anyone else—or lead the scoreboard when the four-minute timer runs out.

Small goblin. Enormous ego.

Choose from eight goblins with plenty of personality. Celebrate with emotes, collect cards, and chase the mysterious ninth character by winning twenty matches in a row.

Twenty. Consecutive. Wins.

We believe in you. Your friends probably don’t.

Get lost. Get loot. Get even.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Goblin Gunmaze is developed under human creative direction. I design the gameplay, direct development, review code and assets, and test and refine the experience. Generative AI tools assist with development and the creation of visual content, including card illustrations and 3D character models. These assets are selected and reviewed as part of the development process. AI-generated content is prepared during development; the game does not generate AI content live while you play.
