What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Ball Kicking Simulator started as an idea I thought would be really fun, inspired by memories of kicking a ball around as a kid. I want to capture some of that simple fun in a game you can play with friends. Early Access gives me a chance to hear directly from the people playing it and use that feedback to improve the game as I go.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm aiming for around 6–12 months in Early Access. That may change depending on what I learn from player feedback and how development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add more minigames, environments and ball types, so there are more ways to play. I also want to keep improving the controls, physics, animations, balance and performance. Your feedback will help me decide which ideas to take further.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I'm currently preparing the game for its Early Access launch. The development build already has ball kicking, goalkeeper and friend bots, different ball types, and park and city environments. Online multiplayer and additional minigames will be part of the first Early Access build.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to launch at a lower price and gradually increase it as I add substantial content and features. I expect the full version to cost more, but not excessively more, than the initial Early Access release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I'd love to hear what you think through the Steam discussions/reviews, whether it's a bug report, a mode idea, or something that just doesn't feel right. I plan to share progress through Steam announcements and use your feedback to help decide what to work on next.”

About This Game

Kick balls, score goals, and send your friends tumbling! Ball Kicking Simulator is a casual 3D physics party game where a great shot feels good and a spectacular miss can be just as funny.

I'm making it to bring a little of that childhood fun into a game: kicking a ball around with friends, trying something ridiculous, and laughing when it goes wrong.

Put your whole body into the kick!

Choose your kicking leg, take a run-up, and send the ball flying! Use a lighter touch to get past the goalkeeper, or put your whole body behind a big shot. Your cartoony character can stumble, collide with other players, and tumble into a ragdoll fall, so a missed shot might still send a friend tumbling. Get back up and have another go.

Bring your friends!

Play with friends in fast-paced sports minigames, competing in online PvP or working together in online co-op. Cross-platform multiplayer lets Windows, macOS and Linux players join the same sessions. You can also play single-player and practice your shots with goalkeeper and friend bots.

Try a different ball!

Football (soccer) is just the starting point. Kick beach balls, heavy bowling balls, tiny balls and giant ones, each with its own feel. Use the colorful, stylized park and city playground as a physics sandbox for ridiculous trick shots and unexpected rebounds.

More ways to play!

I'd love to try more minigames during Early Access, too. One idea is volleyball with a group of friends, where you kick the ball back and forth over a net! Your feedback will help me decide which ideas to take further.

Play from a third-person view using keyboard and mouse, a controller, or touch controls.
