About This Game

Ashes of the Swarm is an open-ended puzzle game about creating chain reactions through placing and aligning an ever-growing array of insects armed to the mandibles with dynamite, all in the name of destroying the encroaching enemy. Reach massive combo counts, manage your limited gold supply and avoid blowing up the increasingly annoyed bugs’ homes. Every puzzle is open-ended, so no singular solution exists for any level.

Set in the western frontier, you play as former telegraph operator and praying mantis Piper Fimbra. She has been pulled out of retirement (much to her chagrin) to help defend the inhabitants of her sleepy mining town, Sulphur Springs, from a band of marauding insects that have nicknamed themselves "The Minstrels".

• Storyline campaign with 24 levels that challenge you in unexpected ways, such as making the entire puzzle grid rotate like a clock or forcing you to gamble your town's gold supply on a poker machine.
