What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core game is done and fun to play. Early Access lets players shape what comes next: balance, new classes and new weapons, guided by how people actually play.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 6–12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add two more classes (the Stormcaller and the Houndmaster), a third weapon for every class with its own skill tree, online co-op for up to four players, controller support, and more cards, enemies and bosses.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable. Three classes (Ranger, Engineer, Warden), each with two weapons and a skill tree per weapon, escalating waves, bosses, turrets, walls, run cards, challenges, Steam achievements and Steam leaderboards. Upcoming classes and weapons are shown as previews but can't be played yet.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We plan to raise the price at full release. Early Access buyers keep the game and every update at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam forums and announcements. We read every bug report and use player feedback to set balance and pick what to build next.”

About This Game

Early Access. The game is fully playable and updated often.

Defend a bastion against an onslaught of goblins that attack from all sides. How long can you hold out?

Three classes, six weapons. Play the Ranger, Engineer or Warden. Fight with bows, crossbows and fire, two weapons per class, each with its own skill tree.

Choose your build. Shape your weapon through branching skills, from returning arrows and mobile batteries to burning roads and bouncing meteors.

Build between waves. Raise turrets and towers, shore up your walls, then watch them tear into the horde.

No two runs alike. Pick run-changing cards between waves. Stack the right ones and build something that shouldn't work, until it does.

Bosses and a horde that never stops. How long can you hold?
