The free demo is planned for October 31, 2026. Explore a 20–30 minute journey through selected scenes, make a choice, and discover what survives eight years later. Add Game Over: Spring to your wishlist to follow development toward the planned June 18, 2027 release.

About This Game

Your choice takes seconds. Its consequences last decades.

Game Over: Spring is a first-person narrative adventure about nature, technology, and the futures we choose. Travel from 1963 to 2050, explore richly detailed interiors, inspect clues, solve environmental puzzles, and step into the consequences of your decisions.

A greenhouse can flourish or fall silent. A home can become a refuge for living things. A promise of progress can lead somewhere unsettling. When you see what your choice has changed, will you stand by it?

Explore a century on the edge

Begin with a clash of ideas in a 1960s office. Move through a hospital, an old house and its greenhouse, animal habitats, and strange robotic spaces. Read the rooms as closely as the documents: what is growing, what is missing, and what has taken its place?

Discover the story through your actions

Search for useful objects, examine field notes, unlock doors, and piece together environmental clues. Cross stepping stones above polluted water and investigate an unsettling future laboratory. The things you find and the actions you take bring each place's dilemma into focus.

See another future

In the house and greenhouse, witness the results of your approach eight years later. Return to the decision, try the alternative, and see the same space transformed. A different answer can change what survives.

Where does care become control?

From pesticides to automated futures, confront competing ideas about comfort, efficiency, and our place in the living world. Listen, look closely, and decide what you are willing to live with.

  • A single-player, first-person journey through historical settings and imagined futures.
  • Exploration, document inspection, object interactions, and environmental puzzles.
  • Branching choices with visible consequences and opportunities to explore alternative outcomes.
  • English voiceover, keyboard and mouse controls, gamepad controls, local saves, and adjustable graphics settings.

Inspired by historical figures and events. Dialogue and scenarios are fictionalized.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Game Over: Spring is a solo-developed project created and directed by Jaewook Lee.

Tripo and Meshy 3D models used during early prototyping have been replaced in the current demo with purchased, licensed or manually modeled 3D assets.

The demo still includes prerecorded AI-generated background music and narration, along with some AI-generated 2D artwork, including document illustrations and decorative imagery. These assets were created in advance; no AI content is generated during gameplay, and the game does not connect to an AI service.

Before the full release, we plan to replace the demo's AI-generated audio through work with professional musicians, sound designers and voice performers.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The story deals with illness, death, captivity, and environmental harm. Scenes include a military hospital with sick patients and covered bodies, people held captive in a future laboratory, and cannon fire and explosions. These themes and images may be upsetting to some players.
