Start with a pickaxe and a plot. Dig ore, haul it to the trucks and pour the money into a bigger operation, then sell the whole thing and start again richer (or don't)! A cozy mining tycoon that takes you from a backyard mine to a lost jungle city and out to the asteroid belt.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core game is complete and plays from the first swing to the asteroid belt. Early Access lets players shape what comes next - bigger mines, more physics, mining from vehicles and new zones - while the game grows around how people actually play it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About six to twelve months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Bigger and deeper mines, more physics in the digging and the hauling, vehicles that mine as well as carry, and more zones to open past the asteroid belt.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Three full places to play (the Yard, the Lost City and the Belt) with their mines, seven ores and seven gems, a crew to hire, contracts, a museum, an idol shrine, a drone swarm, vehicles, a crane, the sell-and-restart loop, seventy-odd goals and seven hats and eleven picks to wear.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes - the price will rise as the bigger updates land, so the earliest players get the best price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions and an in-game bug reporter for testers. Every update is shaped by what players say on the forums.”

About This Game

Dig. Haul. Get rich. Sell it all. Do it again. Unlock more places, become more efficient..

Rocks to Riches starts with one miner, one pickaxe and a hole in a backyard. Swing at the ore face, carry the load out on your head, stack it on the pile and load the truck when it pulls in. Every truck pays, and every dollar buys a sharper pick, a bigger pouch, faster hands or a deeper mine.

Build an operation

Ores, from coal to platinum, in a mine that gets richer the deeper you go

Hire a crew - a miner, a loader and a banker - and watch them work the yard beside you

Buy a truck for the yard and hitch trailers behind it to haul thousands at once

Take contracts for the ore the buyers want, and chase the rare legendary jobs

Fill a museum with the strange specimens your miners turn up

Sell up and start again richer

When the operation is worth enough, sell it. Every sale raises your stake, and every piece of money you earn after it is worth more. Sell enough times and doors open that money alone cannot.

Three places to strike it rich (So far)

The Yard - the mine, the trucks, the bank and the garage, where it all begins

The Lost City - behind a golden arch, a jungle city of gems: crack geodes in the workings, crush the rock, load the river barge, ride the crane, and raise idols at the shrine

The Belt - a rock towed in from the asteroid belt, a swarm of drones to mine it, a rocket to ship the take and a shaft down into the asteroid itself

Made to be watched

Ore flies off the heaps in long arcs, chunks tumble and pile, conveyor belts carry gems across the city, and the yard turns from noon to firefly-lit night. Dress your miner in outfits you unlock
