About This Demo

Your first shift at the factory

The demo is the start of ONE MILLION BOLTS: the training area and one complete shift in the small factory hall. Step into the metal hands of a robot operator and take a production line of about 1,000 parts apart, cover by cover and bolt by bolt, until the hall is clear.

What's in the demo

• Training: twelve short lessons on multitool heads, prying, lifting, selling salvage, buying your first grinder, cutting welds and pushing the tool cart.
  
• The small factory hall: one shift on a generated production line with two service levels. Repair the freight lifts and the overhead crane's controller to move tools and heavy loads.
  
• Every tool and upgrade on sale: the multitool, pry bar, grinder, lifter and plasma cutter, upgrades for your robot, and helper robots that work beside you.
  
• Co-op through Steam: host the shift for up to three friends who also have the demo.
  
• Things left behind: rubber ducks and the old crew's belongings, hidden in and around the machines.

One shift per career

When the hall is clear, walk through what you've cleared or start a new game for a fresh layout.

The full game adds

• New shifts, again and again: a fresh machine layout every time, with your money, tools and upgrades carried on.
  
• Medium shifts of about 2,000 parts in the small factory hall.
  
• The large factory hall: shifts of 2,000 to 6,000 parts on up to three production rows.
  
• The giga hall: every machine slot filled, about 11,500 parts and 860,000 bolts in one shift.
  
• One million bolts.
  
• Co-op in every hall and shift size.
