Tend a newborn star in the corner of your desktop. Gather light, raise worlds and guide their people from the first fire to the stars. Collapse your sun in a supernova, decipher a lost alien alphabet, and, at the very end, tear open a black hole into the multiverse.

About This Game

A WHOLE UNIVERSE, IN THE CORNER OF YOUR SCREEN

Sunkeeper is a cosmic idle game built to keep you company. It opens in darkness on one faint, flickering star. Tap it, and it bursts into your sun. From there, light gathers, rings of stars fill the sky, and worlds form in orbit: worlds with names, seasons and people who look up at the light you made.

Leave it running beside your work, in a small window, always on top, or straight on your desktop. Come back to a sky that kept turning without you.

RAISE CIVILIZATIONS

Every planet is a living world. Your home world begins as a tribe of 500. Over the years it grows through seven eras, from the Tribal age to the Stellar, along a branching tree of 40 technologies. Research takes real time, and the clock keeps running while you're away. Build mega-projects like the Great Library and the Dyson Swarm and watch them rise in orbit, settle ocean worlds and frozen moons, and see city lights, auroras and ring stations spread across each planet as it develops.

BURN BRIGHT, THEN BURN OUT

• 12 rings of stars, from humble Motes to Infinity, each doubling its light as it grows.

• Stellar Expansion: let your sun swell and swallow its innermost ring, which is reborn stronger at the edge of the system. A swallowed planet leaves behind its core.

• Supernova: collapse your star for stardust, and chart permanent constellations that carry into every new run.

• Spirit Force: the people of your worlds live and die, and their souls remain. Hold to commune with them before a supernova scatters them, and grow the spirit tree.

• Ascend: catch energy balls to raise your divine level, and spend divine points on a sprawling constellation of powers you can pan and explore.

RITES, COMBOS AND CORONA FRENZIES

The sky keeps its own calendar. When a world crosses the face of your star, when two worlds meet, when the long night falls or a comet passes, a Rite opens: a glowing sigil you have a short window to answer. Each rite grants a burst of power and leaves a permanent mark.

Catch shooting stars for surges, chain cascades, time your rites, and every boost you stack multiplies the others. Land them together and the combo meter climbs into the thousands. And now and then a star erupts into a Corona Frenzy: for a few seconds, every click counts seventy-seven times over.

THE STELLAR NURSERY

A garden for baby stars. Plant protostars in an incubator grid, let them mature for lasting bonuses, and grow two kinds side by side: new kinds sprout in the empty cells between them. Crossbreed your way through 14 kinds, from humble Ember Seeds to the rare Quasarling, fill your seed book, and keep the space moss from creeping in. Your nursery keeps growing while you're away.

A SKY THAT'S ALIVE

• Comets, some of them golden, trailing ice across your system.

• Solar storms that give you a choice: raise the shields, or harvest the storm and risk your people.

• A star leviathan gliding through the deep sky, distant galaxies and a spinning pulsar.

• Meteor showers that sweep past the camera, frost on the lens, and Grand Alignments of your five founding worlds. Only if you're watching.

THE DERELICTS AND THE LOST ALPHABET

Dead alien ships drift slowly through your system. Develop the technology to board them before they slip out of reach. Inside you'll find 24 carved runes that make up a forgotten alphabet, each one a permanent blessing, plus fragments of an encrypted record. Decipher them, and learn what happened to the last civilization that kept a star like yours.

BEYOND THE LAST STAR

Complete the alphabet, and your next supernova collapses into a black hole. A long, hard run follows, under a lensed sky and a burning accretion disk. Survive it and breach the singularity to open the multiverse: tend several solar systems at once, each with its own star, worlds and history, and spend Quanta on constants that bend every universe you own.

YOUR DESKTOP IS THE GALAXY

Desktop mode strips everything away but your sun, its planets, its orbits and its stars, and sets them straight onto your desktop. No window, no background: just a solar system floating over your wallpaper. Zoom to grow it or shrink it, and click right through the empty space to the apps underneath.

COMPANION TOOLS

Little helpers in their own windows, styled like the game, for the hours it keeps you company. Pin them on top, make them borderless, and they remember where you left them.

• Focus timer, calculator, to-do list and sticky notes.

• Music player for your own folders, with a tiny bar mode and media keys that also control your other music apps.

• World clocks, plus alarms and reminders that ring even with the tool closed.

• Calendar with your own events and the real sky: meteor shower peaks, solstices, equinoxes, and every new and full moon.

MADE FOR IDLE OR ACTIVE GAMEPLAY

• A small, resizable window that scales crisply from a narrow strip to fullscreen.

• Always-on-top and borderless modes, plus low frame rates in the background.

• Offline progress: your planets keep filling, your research keeps going and your nursery keeps growing.

• Speedrun mode with a run timer and Steam leaderboards, and three save slots.

• Full controller support, with an on-screen map of every button.

• Bloom, animated solar flames and a flowing magma sun, with 8 nebula palettes and a photo mode.

• 234 in-game achievements (100 of them on Steam), Steam Cloud saves and fully rebindable shortcuts.

• Playable in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and Japanese.
