About This Content

Two buttons on one thread

A twin button is the plain button and a partner button tied together by a single thread. You steer only the plain button. With the thread slack, the partner slides to a stop; pulled taut, it is dragged along — and turn sharply, and it swings wide.

  • You start with both starter weapons. The partner's two exclusive weapons fire from the partner.
  • The partner can be hit too, and the two share one health bar — the price of a second pair of hands.
  • Weapon cards come from 8: the two buttons' 4 exclusives plus the 4 shared weapons.

  • Twin · Pearl — needle and rubber band. Slow them down, then both of you shoot.
  • Twin · Maroon — pencil lead and keyring. Pierce and sweep.
  • Twin · Gold — coin and bottle cap. The partner blocks up front while you fire from behind.
Twin buttons work in every chapter of the base game, whether or not you bought the partner button there.

Two 40-minute chapters

A button that lost its pair, finding its way through the washing machine and back to the coat. Both chapters reach their boss at 36 minutes and follow the same four difficulty bands as the expansion chapters (easy to 10 minutes, average to 20, hard to 30, then a steady climb). Elites arrive every 5, 11 and 20 minutes.

  • Washing Machine — Lost Sock, Hairpin, Soap Suds, Soggy Tissue, Coin Purse. The Spin Drum turns at the end.
  • Coat Pocket — Crumpled Receipt, Bus Token, Candy Wrapper, Lip Balm, Hand Warmer. The Buttonhole is the last gatekeeper.

Two new boss abilities

  • Whirl — cycles through three patterns in order: push, pull, then dash spin. You can hold your ground against the push and pull by walking into them. The dash spin aims for 0.25 seconds, rolls straight at where it aimed, three times over, catching nearby enemies in its spin and flinging them out. The direction locks when it aims, so stepping aside dodges it.
  • Cinch — three patterns in turn. Cinch closes a ring around the boss, trapping everything inside (no damage). Stitch dashes four times in a zigzag, leaving thread barriers along its path for a moment. Button Up pins a ring on your position, pulls you in, and deals damage if you end up in the centre. Leave the ring during the warning and the trapping patterns miss you.
Your partner button is caught by the same current and the same ring.

What's included

  • 3 twin buttons (Twin · Pearl / Maroon / Gold)
  • 2 chapters, each built around a 40-minute run
  • 18 new enemies — 10 trash, 6 elites, 2 ending bosses
  • 2 new boss abilities (whirl and cinch)
  • 8 achievements

Before you buy

  • You need the base game. This cannot be played without Button Down.
  • Update Button Down to 1.2.0 or later. This DLC's content ships inside the base game build. Without that update, the chapters and twin buttons will not appear even after you buy it.
  • You do not need the free expansion (Lost & Found Pack). The achievement "On a Single Thread" (clear every chapter with a twin button) does include its two chapters, though.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some of the content in this DLC was created with generative AI tools.

· 2D sprites (enemies, bosses) and backgrounds started as generative AI image drafts
and went through background removal, resizing and color correction before shipping.
· The store page key art (used for the capsule images) started as a generative AI
image draft.
· Interface translations — the source language is Korean; the other languages were
machine-translated with AI and only some have had a human pass. If you spot an
awkward line, tell us and we will fix it.

This DLC adds no new music; it uses the base game's tracks. Sound effects are not
AI-generated — they are synthesized in real time by the game's code.

No AI runs while you play. Every piece of content ships as a fixed file — the game does
not generate anything during play and does not contact any AI service.
