About This Game

Every swell is a ramp

The open ocean is the track. Climb a wave face at speed and launch off the lip: the faster you hit it, the higher you fly. A ring on the water shows where you will come down. Dive to land on the back of the next wave and the fall turns into speed; slam flat into a face and you lose it.

Three tracks, three storms

• Lighthouse Reef. Open-sea swell round a lonely lighthouse, from golden hour into a full thunderstorm.
  
• Harbor Surge. A ship slalom in a calm container port, then the storm swell slamming the breakwater, as blue hour turns into a night storm over the city.
  
• Arctic Drift. Thread a canyon between towering icebergs, dodge drifting growlers and launch off ice ramps below a glacier, from the low polar sun through a snow squall to the aurora.

The weather builds as you race: the light drops, rain or snow sweeps in and the swell grows.

Tricks and SURGE

• Tap for a no-hander or a superman, hold for a backflip, add a direction for a barrel roll, press again for a double
  
• Land it clean to charge SURGE, then burn a charge to blast past a rival
  
• Perfect slides, perfect gates and big clean airs charge it too, but a trick that is not finished when you land throws you off

Five riders, four rivals

Pick one of five racers, each on their own jet ski: Pip the penguin, Kai with her long pink hair, Mara the crocodile on her crocodile ski, Dex the robot with his flying cape, or Nova the veteran with the flag flying off his stern. Race them against four rivals who launch off the same crests. Two laps, first across the line wins.

Controls

Keyboard: W, A, S and D or the arrow keys to ride, Space to hop and trick, S to dive, Shift for SURGE.
Gamepad (Xbox or PlayStation): left stick to steer, right trigger to ride, A / Cross to hop and trick (hold for a backflip), left trigger or B / Circle to dive, X / Square or right bumper for SURGE, Start to pause. Menus, the rider select and every card work with the pad too.
