A cozy life where the harvest is gemstones

You inherit your great-aunt Kiku's lapidary workshop in a quiet mountain valley whose crystals stopped growing thirty years ago. Clear the Mineral Garden, scatter crystal dust and let the rain, the moon, heat and pressure decide what forms. Every stone that comes out of the earth is one of a kind, with its own name, serial number and certificate.

Carry your geodes to the anvil, find the seam and strike. Guess the colour of the heart before it opens, polish your finds in ASMR mode, and keep your eyes open: some rare gems hold a tiny world inside, like a pine forest under snow or a whale swimming through a nebula.

• Seven villagers to get to know, with heart events all the way to ten hearts, birthdays, gifts and romance. Their faces act out every line.
  
• Tsubame, the travelling lapidary, steps off the morning bus every season to challenge you: her best stone against yours. Grandma Suzu judges. Loser buys the tea.
