What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Woodturning Simulator is a co-op game, and the best ideas for it come from groups of friends playing together. Early Access lets us test the carving, materials, physics and online play with real crews and shape new orders, tools and hazards around what players enjoy most.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for roughly 6 months. This is our best estimate and may shift a little based on player feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add:
- More customer orders, block materials and room themes
- New corridor hazards and more cat mischief on the way to the truck
- More workshop upgrades, hats and special powers, plus Steam Achievements
- More interface languages”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable from start to finish: 1-4 player online co-op, 90+ orders in 16 materials, carving, band saw, painting, mini lathes, stickers, the sled haul to the truck, and a 10-week rent campaign with upgrades from garage to factory.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we add new content and features during Early Access. The full release price will be higher than the Early Access price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We read every review, discussion and suggestion. Players can share ideas and bug reports in the Steam Community hub, and we will regularly post update notes and polls about which orders and features to build next.”

About This Game

Carve it. Paint it. Don't drop it. Together.

Woodturning Simulator is a cute, chaotic co-op game for 1-4 friends. Customers order vases, snowmen, matryoshka dolls, chess pieces, happy clouds, chocolate hearts and dozens more, and your crew makes them out of one giant block spinning on the lathe.

Carve together

Jump on the scissor lift, grab the rough gouge and bite into the block. The shape you need shows on the block like a shadow, and the last thin layer blinks red until you carve it down with the carving knife. Everyone works the same block at the same time, so shavings fly everywhere and somebody always takes off a bit too much.

Real materials that feel different

Wood, stone, marble, chocolate, candy, ice, glass, jelly, gold, metal, bamboo, pumpkin, clay, plastic, rainbow and mystery blocks. Each one looks, breaks and sounds like itself: wood curls into shavings, ice crackles into shards, jelly wobbles and squelches, metal throws sparks.

Band saw, mini lathes and finishing

Shapes that aren't round start at the band saw: cut the outline from the front and the side, then carve the rest by hand. Turn tiny eyes and noses on the mini lathes, mix your own paint, roll, brush and spray it on, burn in patterns, polish to a shine and finish with googly eyes and stickers.

Haul it to the truck

The finished product goes on a heavy sled and the whole crew drags it down the corridor. Every bump dents it and costs money, pieces snap off, and the office cat jumps on top to scratch it. Glue it back and get it on the truck!

Pay the rent, grow the shop

Each week ends with rent day. Earn enough to keep the lights on, buy tools and upgrades, unlock special powers on the skill tree, complete material collections and grow from a tiny garage into a full factory. Redecorate the workshop as a snow cabin, beach shack, space station and more. Just... don't press the red button.
