About This Game

Put on your headphones, or turn up the sound: the story begins.

Rêverie brings you illustrated audio stories where you decide what happens next. A narrator and a dozen character voices take you into a stormy night in the Middle Ages. Listen in bed or with the family, and enjoy it with your eyes closed too.

A first story, on the house: The Messenger of Corbeval

Rain falls on the road to Corbeval. You are the king's messenger, and against your chest is a sealed letter that must reach the lord before midnight. Someone inside his walls does not want him to read it.
About 40 minutes, 7 endings to discover. Corbeval is completely free.

What awaits you

  • You choose. At every turning point, two large cards, left and right. Your decisions change what happens next, and how it ends.
  • Getting around is effortless. In each place, pick where to go: the forge, the chapel, the tavern… Your character walks there on their own, and you hear every step.
  • An illustrated audio book. Every place has its illustration, every chapter its title. Optional subtitles, and a night mode that dims the screen.
  • Replay for another ending. Fast-forward skips the lines you have already heard.
  • Headphones or speakers. As you like.
  • Eyes closed, during the story. The choices are read aloud, and one key picks left or right.
  • Keyboard, mouse or gamepad.
  • In English and French, voices and text, chosen in the game.

Six more stories, sold one by one

The library has seven stories from day one. Corbeval is free; each of the other six is bought on its own:
  • Midnight at Valcombe: a manor cut off by snow on Christmas Eve, 1932. A mystery to solve by ear.
  • The King Who Could Not Sleep: a gentle fairy tale for young and old, to listen to in bed.
  • The Bread of the Last Morning: Pompeii, an autumn morning, AD 79.
  • The Sleeping Ark: science fiction aboard a ship of sleepers.
  • The Berline: Paris, June 1791, a night when it is best to say nothing.
  • The Blue Train Violin: a mystery in a sleeping car, before Lyon.

A game by the independent studio Petit Vaisseau.
