About This Game

Everyone plays. Everyone sees who went out.

Smartest in the Room is a party game for 1–8 players online. Every round is a new minigame, explained in one line and shown playing itself before it starts. Then everyone gets the same level at the same moment.

Fail and you're out. Clear it and the next level gets harder. From level 3 on, if everybody clears it, the slowest player goes out anyway. Last one standing takes the round.

• Reflexes: Green Light, Statues, Whack, Pop the Lock

• Aim and steering: Penalty, Traffic, Herd, Fishing, Tightrope, Maze, Dodge
  
• Timing and nerve: Press Your Luck, Stop the Clock, Keep the Beat, Rhythm

Each one takes seconds to learn and a lot longer to stop losing at. A match deals them out one after another until somebody reaches 100 points.

The race to 100

• Win a minigame: +20. Second: +10. Third: +5. Come last: −5.
  
• The race to 100 runs along the top of the screen, so everyone always knows who to beat.
  
• Knocked out? You watch the rest of the level live, and so does everyone else.

A host who is way too into this

A fully voiced host commentates the whole match: who went out, who's running away with it, and who should probably stop talking.

Easy to get into a game

• Host a lobby and share the join code. No accounts, no friend lists.
  
• Play online or over your local network.
  
• Fair over any connection: your timings are measured on your own machine, so lag never costs you a reaction.
  
• Playing alone? Clear levels in a row to score and practise for next time.

There's no in-game chat: it's made for friends already talking on Discord or in the same room.
