About This Game

A garden for your desktop

Bloomtop is a cozy idle game that lives in a thin strip at the bottom of your screen. Little pixel plants grow in their pots while you work, study or play. Water them when they droop, harvest them when they bloom, then get back to what you were doing.

It never gets in your way. Bloomtop never steals focus, only the pots and plants take clicks (everything else clicks straight through to the windows behind), and it hides by itself when you go full screen.

Cross-pollinate and discover hybrids

Plant two flowers near each other and they may cross-pollinate into something new. A pair always makes the same hybrid, and every hybrid wears its parents' stems, leaves and petals, so you can read its family tree at a glance. Some of the rarest plants only appear in one season.

Grow a frame around your monitor

Every new plant you grow adds a stretch to a flowering vine that climbs the side of your screen and runs along the top. In the corner the Great Tree waits for the rarest plants of all. Bring it all six, and watch your whole desktop bloom.

Let the helpers take over

Snails water, a mole harvests, and bees carry pollen further along the row. At first you tend the garden; later it mostly tends itself.

Nothing is ever lost

Plants never wilt or die. Forget about them and they simply wait for you. The garden only grows while Bloomtop is running, so nothing happens behind your back.
