Descend into the depths

Every dive in Ominous Descent is a race against a trench that gets more dangerous the longer you survive. Hold out against swarms that grow in number and variety, outlast a boss every five minutes, and push through three depth zones, alone or with a friend in local co-op.

Every watt counts

Your headlight, dash and ability all run off one energy meter. Anything caught in the headlight takes bonus damage, the dash thrusts you in a chosen direction granting brief invulnerability, and each submarine's powerful ability can turn a fight around. Energy recharges slowly on its own, and every creature you destroy drops more.

Features

• Solo or local co-op: Dive alone or with a friend (at least one controller required).

• Four submarines to choose from: Each with its own weapon, headlight and ability. Start with one and unlock the rest by playing, since every run's score counts toward the unlock.

• The abyss fights back: As you descend new creatures will join the swarm over time with the smaller ones hunting in packs.

• Boss fights: You will encounter powerful beasts such as the Abyssal Angler and Giant Squid that will not go down easy.

• Bioluminescence: The trench is pitch black, glowing creatures, weapon fire and your headlight will illuminate the world around you.

• Depth zones: The trench will change around you as you head deeper into the unknown.

• Environmental hazards: From thermal vents to sudden currents it's not just the fauna that are dangerous. 

• Powerups: Temporary & stackable which can provide you with a vital lifeline.

• Items: Upgrades that will last the whole dive and change the way you play. Choose carefully as you can only hold one.

• Logs: Track the creatures you've discovered and slain along with the powerups, items and hazards you find.
