A first-person smuggling sim. Buy low, sell high, stash the good stuff where customs won't look and talk your way past inspection. Grow from a rust bucket to a freighter, escape the galaxy, then do it again. Online co-op for 1–4 players arrives in the first major update.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hold My Cargo is already a complete single-player game: five planets, three ships, a full career from DECKHAND to LEGEND, THE LAST RUN as a galaxy finale and new galaxies once you escape. What it isn't yet is the whole game we set out to make — a smuggling sim you can play with friends. Online co-op is not in the game yet. It is the first major update. We'd rather put the finished single-player game in your hands now, at a lower price, and build co-op and the rest of the roadmap with the people actually playing it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 12 months. Online co-op for 1–4 players is planned as the first major update in Q1 2027, followed by fleets (CONVOY) and deeper new galaxies, with the full release planned for late 2027. These are plans, not promises: if co-op needs more time to be solid, it gets more time, and we'll tell you why.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to add:
- online co-op for 1–4 players (first major update): one of you talks to the customs officer while the others move the crates he shouldn't see;
- CONVOY: two or three ships on one landing pad, and customs only inspects one of them;
- deeper new galaxies: galactic goods, event chains and more standing orders;
- co-op minigames (SMALL TALK, SCANNER JAM), the MANIFEST collection and more cargo minigames;
- balance, performance and polish based on your feedback, in all 12 languages.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable solo from the first crate to escaping the galaxy, and beyond it. You get 5 planets, 3 ships with modules, ranks, licences, 15 signature goods, haulhogs, the FIXER and REPACK bench with 9 crate tags, the tavern with rumours and the HOG HEIST job chain, THE LAST RUN, the CARGO SCOOT and FLATBED vehicles, STANDARD and IRONMAN modes, 33 Steam achievements, controller support and 12 fully translated languages. After your first escape, new galaxies keep the career going.
Not there yet: online co-op (first major update), a polished 32:9 layout, and demo saves don't carry over.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. The Early Access price reflects what's in the game today: the complete single-player game, with co-op still to come. We plan to gradually raise the price as the game grows, reaching its full price at 1.0. Everyone who buys during Early Access gets every update, including co-op, at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“- Steam forums with Bug Reports and Suggestions boards; in the game press F10 to save a screenshot for your report.
- Our Discord (#bug-reports, #suggestions, and #lfg-co-op to find a crew when co-op lands).
- A public beta branch before major updates, starting with co-op, so you can break it before everyone else plays it.
- Patch notes for every update and a roadmap update after each major release: what's done, what moved and why.”

About This Game

Every planet has a market. Every market has a customs officer.

Hold My Cargo is a first-person smuggling sim. Play it solo today; online co-op for up to four players is the first major Early Access update. You run a small trade ship between five planets, buy goods where they're cheap and sell them where they're not. The legal stuff pays the fuel. The illegal stuff pays for the ship.

Carry it yourself

No spreadsheets. Every crate is a real box you pick up, haul across the landing pad and drop into your hold. Contraband goes into the stashes — behind the cooling unit, under the cockpit floor, in the crew quarters — and it's your job to make sure nothing is sticking out when the customs officer walks up the ramp.

Talk your way through inspection

Customs officers come in flavours: by-the-book, corrupt, vengeful, bored. Fill in your declaration, decide what to admit to, and read the man in front of you. Bribe him, bluff him, or trust your stashes. In STANDARD every bust adds a WANTED star; in IRONMAN the third bust ends your career.

Co-op is next

Online co-op is not in the game yet — it's the first major Early Access update. When it lands, one of you distracts the officer at the terminal while the others quietly move the crates he shouldn't find. Or split up on the planet: one hits the trade office, one works the black market, one checks the tavern for rumours about tomorrow's prices.

Grow your operation

  • Three hulls to earn your way through: the starter SPAWN, the mid-size CRANK and the two-deck BELL with a full cargo bay and nine stashes.
  • Ship modules: deck guns against pirates, a cruise booster, a cold store for perishable goods, stash shielding against scanners, an escape shuttle.
  • Living cargo that spoils, pirates who take your marked crates if you can't pay, and a heat meter that remembers what you did last time.

Escape the galaxy. Then find out it wasn't the end.

Hit the target and jump off the Empire's map. The next galaxy has new planets, new residents, harsher laws and a bigger number to chase. You keep your ship, your modules and your reputation — the galaxy doesn't.

Made by a small crew

Hold My Cargo is developed by Favera Studio, a three-person team. It's a game about the gap between what you declared and what's actually in the hold. We hope you enjoy standing in it.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Hold My Cargo is made by a three-person team at Favera Studio. Like many small studios, we use AI-assisted tools as part of our production pipeline — for exploring concepts and marketing artwork, speeding up parts of 3D asset, animation and texture work, drafting text and running automated testing. Every asset, animation and line of text that ships in the game is directed, reviewed, edited and approved by the team; nothing goes in unseen. The game does not generate any content at runtime — there is no live AI in Hold My Cargo, and no player data is sent to AI services.
