About This Game

An enormous lawn. A missing wedding ring. A company that definitely saved money on equipment.

Somewhere in the overgrown grounds of a mansion is a ring that needs to be found. The company has sent its budget robots to handle it. But unfortunately, you start with a nail cutter.

That Damn Grass is a co-op lawn game for 1–4 players. Get close to the grass in first person, collect what you cut and turn tiny paydays into much more capable equipment. Work alone or bring up to three friends. There is plenty of lawn to go around.

BRING FRIENDS. SHARE THE QUESTIONABLE EQUIPMENT.

One robot cuts. Another collects. Someone takes a load back while the rest keep working—or everyone picks a different patch and calls it a plan.

Tools are physical objects you can drop, pick up and pass around. Hand your old equipment to a friend, switch jobs or help a powerless teammate back to a charging point. The grass is not the only thing you might have to carry.

YES, SCISSORS COUNT AS AN UPGRADE

Start with a tiny NailCutter. Move on to fuller snips, smooth scythe sweeps and powered trimming, then climb onto a mower and tackle the stretches that once looked impossible.

The nail cutter is the beginning, not a life sentence. Every better tool gives you a new reason to look back at the little patch where you started.

THE CLEANUP IS HALF THE SATISFACTION

A neat cut is only the start. Scoop clippings into buckets, rake scattered grass together and guide a vacuum across the mess, watching clean ground appear beneath the nozzle.

Load up your transport and bring it back to the Company Station. From a handful of clippings to a much bigger delivery, every load gives your next purchase a purpose.

BETTER TOOLS. BETTER PAYDAYS.

Submit collected grass for Company Credits, then choose what would make your next trip better: a more capable cutter, a bigger robot battery or more room for the grass you gather.

Different patches need different equipment. Light blades are a starting point; tougher, more valuable growth gives you something to work toward. Bring the right tool and make a better payday from the same amount of grass.

FIND THE RING. STAY FOR THE GRASS.

Open paths through the mansion grounds, investigate around the pond and use a metal detector to check promising areas. A signal tells you something is nearby—not exactly where the ring is hiding.

You do not have to clear the whole estate to find and return the ring. Finish the search, then keep mowing, collecting and improving your setup for as long as you feel like tackling the remaining lawn.

Small robots. Huge grass. One very important ring.
