Beyond the light lies only winter. In **The Last Hearth**, you are the Keeper of a small settlement whose survival depends on a single fire. Ride through a detailed pixel-art valley, bring stranded travellers home and turn scattered shelters into a community that can endure the cold.

This is a side-scrolling settlement strategy game with exploration, resource management and a compact single-player story campaign.

Build where there is warmth

A roof alone is not enough. Your people need warm beds, food and time to recover. Restore heat towers to bring nearby worksites back to life. Build homes, a kitchen, a common hall and a workshop, then decide how to spend the wood and coal that keep everything running.

Every building has three development levels. Improvements add practical benefits, from more beds and better production to automatic resource deliveries. Develop your settlement so you can spend more time exploring and less time collecting supplies by hand.

Open the road north

Repair the river bridge and clear the mountain pass to reach the forest bank and northern highlands. Travel across one continuous side-scrolling world without loading screens between its regions.

Restore remote camps and the mountain mine, maintain the caravan road and take a fuelled brazier on long journeys. The farther you ride from home, the more precious every warm stopping place becomes.

Listen to the people by the fire

Mara is looking for her sister. Nora knows the broken bridge. Erik remembers why the old mine was closed. Their conversations, requests and discoveries connect five story chapters about a missing caravan and the people waiting beyond the pass.

Help residents with personal requests, respond to events in the valley and choose what your beacon will promise the north.

Prepare before the weather turns

Balance food, fuel, morale and fatigue. Set work priorities, adjust rations, order workshop parts and prepare repair kits. Blizzards damage towers, slow construction and reduce caravan deliveries. Build a reserve, keep the road working and hold the settlement together after the final signal.
