About This Game

WarFront is a real-time strategy game about oil.

Oil is the only money, and it does not appear in your base. It comes out of rigs, goes into trucks, and drives home on real roads. Take the rigs, hold them, and get your trucks home safe. Cut the enemy's roads, shoot their trucks, blow their bridges, and their oil never arrives.

Every map is freshly generated: four theatres, fair starts, never the same twice. The fog hides anything your army can't see, and the bots fight under the same fog you do. Clean pixel art, every sound a real recording, fully offline.

What you'll be doing

• Parachuting in and picking where your HQ goes, in secret, before anyone else has landed

• Capturing oil rigs and guarding the roads your trucks drive home on

• Sending engineers to cut roads, drop bridges, dig trenches and blow dams, and to fix your own

• Scouting with scout cars, radar and a recon drone, and reading the ghosts of what you saw last

• Garrisoning towns until they mend your vehicles and build your units faster

• Calling in tanks, rocket artillery, paratroopers, carriers, cruisers and, if it comes to it, a nuke

A seven-level campaign on real maps, from the night a private army took the Rumaila oil field to the harbour of New York: Iraq, Suez, Georgia, Rotterdam, the North Sea, Montauk, Liberty.

When you just want a fight

Sandbox: place two armies, drag them to face each other, press FIGHT, see who wins, rematch.

Lose your HQ and you're out.
