About This Game

The Next Generation Warfare Sandbox

Massive 8-player strategy. Live battle broadcasting. Physical-world immersion. Eight leaders. One battlefield. No second chances. Sixty years after the Severance, the coasts rebuild, and the Ashwaste collects its debt. Two civilizations crawled out of the wreckage. This is not a story of good against evil. Two truths. One exhausting ground. You choose a side, a sect and a doctrine, and the war is fought on ground that was ruined before either of you arrived.

Meridian Concord

Along the coasts, surviving city-states rebuilt the directed-energy grid, lofted new relays and sealed a defensive coalition. Their doctrine is restoration: reclaim the old network, re-establish supply chains, project power from altitude. They are rich, precise and outnumbered. Azure and steel.
  • Skywarden Command: generals who fly.
  • Arc Division: burn through armor.
  • Bulwark Group: dig in and finish wars.

Ashpact Horde

In the Ashwaste and the broken interior, survivors had no satellites and no clean water. They had wreckage. War-bands, scavenger clans and demolition cults forged under one oath: the coast owes a debt. Ochre, rust and toxic green.
  • Venom Cells: poison the ground.
  • Cinder Brigade: shatter lines.
  • Ghost Network: vanish until they are already inside your base.

The map will starve you

The conflict is not ideology in the abstract. It is supply. Supply nodes are finite. They exhaust. When a node is drained, both sides must push outward to claim the next one, deeper into contested territory. There is no turtling forever. Home nodes start rich and safe, then thin. The contested center becomes the only food. Matches emerge in three acts without a scripted campaign beat: Feed, Take, Spend. Your build order is a public bet on when Act II starts. Doctrine forks are mutually exclusive and permanent; picking one deletes the other for the rest of the match. Scouting is reading buildings, not guessing tech. Killing pays salvage, so aggression is an income stream and sitting still is poor.

Built to be watched

A built-in spectator and caster system turns every match into a dynamic battle broadcast. The caster auto-cuts to the biggest fight and hard-cuts to eliminations.

Features

  • True 8-player matches
  • Built-in spectator and caster system with live battle broadcasting
  • Finite resource exhaustion: the map must move
  • Two original sides, the Meridian Concord and the Ashpact Horde, with three sects each
  • Permanent doctrine forks. Sects that amputate options, so armies feel different, not like alternate stat sheets
  • Physical-world immersion with full force feedback support
  • Unreal-powered battlefield simulation
  • DEFY Studio, coming soon

DEFY and DEFY Engine

DEFY is the game you play on Steam. DEFY Engine is the technology underneath: Unreal-powered battlefield presentation and match systems designed to be watched as much as played. The aesthetic is a shattered industrial world sixty years into partial recovery: clean steel and glass on the coast, scrap and toxic green in the interior. Nobody has time for speeches. There is a war on, and the supply node on the ridge is about to run dry. Choose a path. The war remembers.
