About This Game

WARFARE HAS A NEW POINT OF VIEW.

Uncrewed Tactical Environment Simulator (UTES) is a combat-focused FPV drone and uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV) simulator.

Take to the air or dominate the ground.

Recon, strike, defend, clear and support from the raw feed, in a world where uncrewed systems have changed the character of warfare.

Gameplay is designed with both realism and fun in mind. It's built to challenge experienced operators and to ease newcomers into the world of uncrewed warfare.

Multiple drones and UGVs to unlock and operate, enemies that react, realistic signal degradation and electronic warfare, and large, open maps where every mission can be approached more than one way.

Earn experience for skilled, technical flying and efficient strikes, progress through the ranks, and unlock upgrades for your systems that increase their lethality and survivability.

WHEELS UP IN MINUTES.

No complex pre-flight procedure, no lengthy manual. Pick up a radio or gamepad and take off.

Radio, gamepad, keyboard and mouse. Fly with whatever you have. Works best with DJI and Radiomaster.

Three flight modes. STABILITY is easy to fly and holds altitude. ANGLE is manoeuvrable but keeps you level. ACRO is for when you want to get down to business.

Your system, your setup. Rates, expo, throttle curve and camera angle, pick a preset flight model or fine-tune how your platform responds.

BALANCED REALISM AND GAME EXPERIENCE.

Believable Physics

Mass, drag, motor spool, voltage sag, propwash and ground effect. A payload makes the drone heavy, and dropping it makes it light.

Weather that matters.

Sorties have different time of day and wind, with more weather effects in the works. The mission briefing tells you what to expect.

Damage that changes how you fly.

Bumped your airframe, cracked a prop or sustained gunfire? Don't expect your system to behave the same. Clip an obstacle or get shot up and you'll feel it. The crash cam will make sure you see it too. Unlockable upgrades like prop guards and high-quality parts can reduce or mitigate damage.

THE WORLD OF UTES (SO FAR).

The near future.

Uncrewed systems have changed the face of warfare faster than anyone could anticipate.

Drones cost a fraction of the kit on the men they kill and the hulking metal beasts they destroy.

Trenches are dug like it's 1916. UGVs sweep and clear them like a sci-fi movie.

Global powers no longer wage war with each other directly. They fight through private military contractors, militias, guerrillas and insurgencies - grey-zone conflicts that "nobody" starts and nobody ends.

Take the sticks as an operator for one of those contractors.

Your organization is well-funded and equipped with some of the best uncrewed systems money can buy. But none of that counts for much where you're deployed: a disused special forces base in the Middle East, a ravaged Eastern European oblast, a drug trafficking corridor deep in the Southeast Asian jungle.

Supplies are thin, support is limited. Every airframe, and every belt of ammunition loaded into your UGV, matters.

Take down hardened mercenary armor, fly undetected past local forces with questionable morals, track insurgent convoys to a high-value target - who you face depends on the mission.

More of the world of UTES will be revealed as development continues.

FREE DEMO COMING.

3 maps and 6 missions, for free. It's an early first look, and what players say about it will shape the alpha and everything after.

PRE-ALPHA. SHAPED BY OPERATORS.

UTES is being built by a solo developer at GridSquare Interactive, an independent Australian studio. Development is shaped by FPV enthusiasts, professional uncrewed operators and early testers. Feedback on gameplay, realism and technology in this fast-moving space plays a central role in what gets built.

Generative AI tools were used during development for some placeholder audio, marketing materials, and to help refine some in-game assets. All footage and screenshots are captured in-engine.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

UTES depicts modern combat. Players use FPV drones and uncrewed ground vehicles against human and vehicular adversaries, such as opposing force soldiers, crews and vehicles. Deaths are typically shown through a drone feed or documentary-style camera.

The setting is a fictional, near-future world of proxy wars, private military contractors and insurgencies. Armed conflict themes. Radio communications contain occasional profanity.
