About This Game

PROMOTED is a 2D pixel-art action adventure set inside Mictlan, a disgustingly successful corporation, endlessly expanding and conquering new heights.

And you're lucky enough to work there.

Story

You wake up in a wrecked R&D department with no memory of how you got there. Completely unaware of what happened while you were offline, you set out to find Lieutenant Zeno while fighting your way past the Lieutenant's other units.

Uncover the truth Zeno is desperate to keep buried. It's only the beginning of a much larger rot spreading through every department Mictlan has left standing.

Every enemy class remembers you. Mictlan is constantly monitoring their performance, adjusting the world to match it. Things get harder where you excel and easier where you struggle. Every employee's performance is always being measured. Just... When will it be your time to get PROMOTED?

Exploration

Each department in PROMOTED is part of a fully interconnected map. Scan the maps around you and sync them with Mictlan's servers to fill in your corporate map as you go.

Discover secrets tucked behind breakable walls, ability gated-paths that open as you unlock new tools, terminals packed with lore and bestiary entries that piece together what happened here.

Combat and Movement

Punch combos, launchers and vertical aerial strikes make up a full melee toolkit. Face your enemies and counter their attacks at the right moment to send them right back at them or stun them outright. It's a dog-eat-dog world inside Mictlan, and the employees are not afraid to... decommission each other just for a promotion.

Secondary weapons round out your options, alongside modules you can equip to your head, torso, arms and legs to grant your loadout powerful abilities. Just don't exceed your energy budget.
