What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Tarot is deeply personal, and we want to build Tarot: Deck of Celestials hand-in-hand with tarot readers, spiritual seekers, and gamers alike. Launching in Early Access allows us to gather direct community feedback on reading layouts, divination tools, deck modding workflows, and accessibility options to create the most welcoming and comprehensive digital tarot sanctuary on PC and Steam Deck.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe will provide the space to introduce community-requested features, expand spread options, refine custom deck creation tools, and ensure full cross-platform polish.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include:

-A 'Reveal All' dynamic flip animation for large spreads.
-High-resolution full-screen card art zoom and inspector modes.
-Direct export of reading summaries (high-res images and formatted text) for sharing and printing.
-Steam Workshop integration for one-click downloading and sharing of user-created custom decks.
-Expanded atmospheric soundscapes and custom playlist folder support.
-Potential native macOS release depending on community interest and player feedback during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access release is stable, feature-complete, and fully playable from start to finish. It includes:

-The complete 78-card Deck of Celestials with detailed upright and reversed lore interpretations.
-4 classic built-in spreads (Single Card, 3-Card, 5-Card, Celtic Cross).
-The interactive Custom Spread Builder.
-The persistent Reading Journal with searchable history.
-The encyclopedic Card Review study chamber.
-Full custom deck and background tabletop modding support via the local user directory.
-Seamless gamepad and Steam Deck controller navigation.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We believe in rewarding early adopters who help shape the project. The game will be offered at a modest, accessible price point during Early Access, with a small price increase upon the 1.0 full release as substantial new features and content are finalized.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We actively invite players to join our Steam Community Discussions and our official Sky Blue Eye Studios Discord. Players can request new spread templates, report usability suggestions, share custom deck art, and vote on prioritized features for upcoming updates.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

During development, generative AI tools were used to assist in creating the 78 card illustrations, composing ambient background soundscapes, and drafting card interpretations. All assets were curated, edited, and assembled by the developer to build an atmospheric, cohesive divination sanctuary. The game does not generate live AI content during runtime.
