Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access because Starfall Defense is built around deep tactical synergies, hero combinations, and evolving tower defense combat. While the core gameplay loop and foundation are fully playable, we want to partner with the strategy gaming community to co-create and expand upcoming content—including new hero archetypes, synergistic factions, challenging campaign chapters, and cooperative multiplayer modes. Community feedback will directly steer our balance adjustments and feature development roadmap.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate Starfall Defense will remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. This timeframe will allow us to roll out multiple major content milestones, implement community-driven features, and thoroughly iterate on new mechanics and endgame content before transitioning into full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature a significantly expanded scope and richer content, including:

Expanded Hero Roster & Classes: Additional unique heroes, active/passive abilities, and cross-class synergy archetypes.
New Campaign Chapters & Mega Bosses: Further storyline worlds with complex, multi-phase Mega Boss mechanics.
Deeper Multiplayer & Progression: Ranked seasonal leagues, cooperative defense modes, and extended relic/gear customization trees.
Full Polish & Localization: Additional language localizations, Steam achievements expansion, and enhanced audio-visual effects.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version provides a solid, highly engaging foundation. It includes the core tower defense combat system, 6 foundational hero classes with diverse starter synergies, early campaign chapters featuring dozens of challenging stages and initial boss encounters, and functional real-time PvP matchmaking. Players can already experience hours of strategic defense, which serves as the solid cornerstone for our future content expansions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Starfall Defense is Free-to-Play and will remain Free-to-Play after Early Access. During Early Access, optional supporter packs or pioneer cosmetics may be offered. In-game content and seasonal passes will expand with new gameplay modules, but the core game experience will always remain free and accessible to all players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We value direct communication with our players. We actively engage through the Steam Community Hub, official Discord server, and in-game feedback surveys. We will regularly share developer roadmaps and design blogs, run community polls regarding hero balancing and new mechanic concepts, and involve dedicated players in testing upcoming content drops before public release.”
