About This Game

Start with $50,000 and a big dream. Trade a living stock market, take shady tips from shadier people, and spend your way from a starter home to a Mega Mansion. Every deal comes with a catch. Some come with a shark.

  • 50 companies across 20 sectors, rising, falling and crashing every single day
  • Market crashes and stock splits. Every company recovers at its own pace, so the smart money knows when to jump back in
  • Price charts, 90-day trends and fast-forward when you want the years to fly by

You won't be trading alone. Shady Bob is running a pump-and-dump, and you're his favourite mark. Greasy Gary has a deal that's too good to be true. Fast Eddie needs money cleaned, no questions asked, and he doesn't forget a slight. Sneaky Sally is dangerous company. Your accountant Sleazy Joe and advisor Vanessa Cole will help you along, but a Trade Commission investigator is always watching.

Stock Escape is packed with branching story events, and they rarely go to plan:

  • Violent Rick: hire a loose cannon, then deal with his kidnapping, a black-tie gala art heist and a dive on a sunken cartel yacht
  • Sleazy Joe's Loan Business: haggle over the split, name your company and lend to a dozen colourful borrowers. Not everyone pays back
  • Vanessa Cole: end a noise war with the neighbour upstairs, then deal with the ex who won't take the hint
  • Shady Bob's Gold Rush: pan for gold in the hills with the worst role model alive
  • Jack's Starlite Diner: help an old friend bring a 1950s diner back to life
  • Art Auctions: outbid rivals for masterpieces, then sell them on for a profit
  • Plus muggings, burglaries, cartels, arson, a plane crash and the Mayor's fines

Climb from a starter home to a Modern Mega Mansion. Fill the garage, buy private jets, take a yacht out on the water and book luxury vacations. Hit wealth milestones and flex on the world. Just keep the house in shape, or the Mayor will fine you, and watch out for burglars and cartels who've noticed your new lifestyle.

Between trades, scratch a lottery ticket, spin the Prize Wheel, crack a fortune cookie, gamble on the Money Bags barn game, and pick the right parachute when your plane goes down. In-game money only.

  • Free demo available now
  • Steam Achievements and Steam Leaderboards
  • Steam Cloud saves, and fully playable offline
  • Controller support
  • Retro chiptune soundtrack, an 8-bit rock guitar intro, and cinematic music that rises with your fortunes
  • Play at your own pace, with fast-forward

Wishlist now to be notified when Stock Escape launches on March 11, 2027. Fortune favours the bold. Will you escape rich, or not at all?

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Stock Escape was designed and built by a solo independent developer. The game's illustrations and some of its written content (event text, character dialogue, and fortune cookie messages) were created with the help of generative AI tools, then selected, edited, and put together by the developer. The game does not use AI while you play. Everything runs offline, and no content is generated live.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

Stock Escape is a lighthearted stock market and lifestyle simulation with cartoon-style illustrations. It contains no sexual content and no graphic violence.

Some storylines involve crime and shady characters, presented humorously and without graphic depiction: money laundering, arson, fraud and con artists, a pump-and-dump stock scheme, insider tips, home burglary, a criminal cartel, and an assassination plot. There is also a plane crash event where the player chooses a parachute. Some illustrations show security guards and bodyguards with firearms, and one shows a character smoking a cigar.

The game includes gambling-style minigames (scratch tickets, a prize wheel, a money bag pick, and a betting minigame) that use in-game currency only. No real money can be spent or won, and there are no in-game purchases.

The game does not depict sexual assault, drug use, or self-harm.
