Why Early Access?

“Slide or Fry combines slippery movement with chain-based cooperation, where one player’s actions can affect the whole team. We want to involve players in refining the controls, difficulty, level design, and multiplayer experience. Early Access will help us understand which challenges are enjoyable, where mechanics need clearer explanations, and what needs further balancing as we develop the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I am currently expecting Slide or Fry to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 months. This is an estimate and may change depending on player feedback and the time needed to develop and polish the remaining content.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“My target for the full version is a campaign featuring 30 maps across three visually distinct environments, with boss encounters and a broader variety of obstacles and challenges. We also plan to expand and refine abilities, passive effects, and cosmetic customization, alongside improvements to presentation, performance, and multiplayer stability. The final scope and priorities may evolve based on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes 30 playable maps and standard, arena and pvp mode. The game is still in development, and players may encounter bugs, balance issues, and unfinished visual or audio elements.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Slide or Fry at a lower price during Early Access and increase the price for the full release as more content and improvements are added. Players who purchase the game during Early Access will receive the full version at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to gather feedback through the Steam Community discussions and player surveys. We are particularly interested in feedback on movement and controls, chain mechanics, level difficulty, and the multiplayer experience. Bug reports and suggestions will help us identify problems and prioritize improvements. We also plan to share development updates and explain how community feedback influences changes to the game.”

A narrow ice path. A lake of lava. And a friend who insists they know what they’re doing.

Slide or Fry is a chaotic co-op precision platformer for 1–4 players. Become an adorable polar bear and slide your way through a treacherous cave of ice and lava. Master tight turns, take on dangerous bosses, and try to reach safety with your friendships intact.

The catch? In co-op, you’re chained to each other.

YOUR NEXT MISTAKE HAS COMPANY

You’ve lined up the turn. Your teammate hasn’t. The chain goes tight. Suddenly, you have a shared problem.

Coordinate your slides, pull each other back from the edge, and turn desperate saves into moments worth shouting about. Your chain can damage enemies and activate switches—but when one bear goes over the edge, their partners may be coming too.

Brave the cave solo without chains, stick together as a chained duo or trio, or bring four players and navigate the chaos in two chained pairs.

EASY TO START. HARD TO STOP.

On this ice, every turn is a commitment. Keep sliding, anticipate the next bend, and thread your way through narrow paths with lava waiting below. Getting knocked sideways doesn’t have to be the end—if you can regain control before the edge.

Survive collapsing platforms, cross dangerously hot ice, and hunt for keys to open the way ahead. Take a risky shortcut or guide your team through the long way around. As the cave disappears into darkness, you’ll need more than confidence to make the next turn.

That impossible-looking corner? It feels incredible when you finally nail it together.

GIVE YOUR BEAR A FIGHTING CHANCE

Choose abilities and stack passive upgrades as you progress. Build around the way you play—or the mistakes you keep making.

  • Fight back: Throw snowballs or send ice lances piercing through enemies.

  • Take control: Dash out of trouble or brake before a turn becomes a disaster.

  • Stay in the run: Equip a shield or give yourself another chance with an Ankh revive.

  • Stack the odds: Pick up extra hearts, reduce knockback, and discover powerful passive upgrades across multiple rarities.

SMALL BEARS. BIG BOSS FIGHTS.

Making it across the ice is only part of the escape. Powerful bosses stand in your way, each with distinct attacks and mechanics to overcome.

Read their patterns, dodge incoming attacks, and find your opening. In co-op, landing a hit is only half the challenge: you still need to keep your teammates from pulling you into the next attack.

Gather your friends. Get your turns straight. And remember: the bear you’re blaming might be the only thing keeping you out of the lava.
