About This Game

SUSPENCIL is an online drawing and social deduction game for up to 8 players. Draw, discuss, and vote to find the Werewolf—the one player whose prompt is different.

Drawing × Social Deduction

All Citizens receive the same prompt, while the Werewolf gets a different one. Citizens and the Werewolf aren’t told their roles, so you’ll have to work out which side you’re on from everyone else’s drawings and comments.

Each match has two drawing turns. The prompt changes each turn, but the roles don’t. After two turns of drawings and discussion, vote for the player you think is the Werewolf.

Comeback Challenge: Guess the Prompts

If the vote lands on the Werewolf, the match isn’t over yet: they get one last chance to turn the tables. If the Werewolf correctly guesses the Citizens’ prompts from both turns, the Werewolf team wins.

So Citizens need to draw something their teammates will recognize—without giving too much away to the Werewolf.

The Madman: An Optional Role That Sabotages with Scribbles

The Madman is a secret accomplice who can watch everyone’s drawings in progress and add lines to other players’ canvases. By changing what a drawing seems to show and steering suspicion elsewhere, the Madman helps the Werewolf team.

The Madman knows only the Werewolf’s prompt. Who the Werewolf actually is, they have to work out from the drawings and the conversation.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

This game uses generative AI for the translations into all languages other than Japanese, the background music and some sound effects, and some of the artwork and icons.

In the Comeback Challenge, an external AI service is used to judge whether an answer correctly names the prompt. The only player data sent to the AI is the text of the answer, and only a correct/incorrect result is returned. The AI does not generate or display any text or images during gameplay.
