The Ministry of Cohesion has been made aware of a so-called video game in which the player kills orcs.

Orcs are our Guests. Our Neighbors. Our Family. They were allocated to this island by lawful process, and they have made it their home.

The material is presented in the first person. The user is never shown the perpetrator, only his hands. The Ministry is satisfied that this is deliberate.

The Ministry has reviewed the material in full and finds it unacceptable in content and tone. Its distribution is prohibited.

DIRECTIVE TO CITIZENS

• Do not wishlist this product. Every wishlist is logged as an expression of unacceptance and forwarded to the Ministry.
  
• Do not watch the footage. It contains orcs being killed by the player. Playback is logged.
  
• Do not follow the developer. Red Mist Studios is an independent studio. It is unaffiliated with the Ministry, and unrepentant.

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some of the artwork in this game was made with generative AI: the propaganda posters that appear in the game world were generated with AI image tools, then selected, retouched and composited by hand. Some marketing images were produced the same way. Nothing is generated while the game is running. Every AI-assisted asset is a fixed image finished before release. Audio and 3D art are not AI-generated.

The developers describe the content like this:

Orctruders is a first-person shooter built around frequent, graphic violence. Combat against orcs uses firearms, explosives and melee weapons, and shows blood, dismemberment and corpses in detail. An options-menu setting reduces the level of gore. The game contains in-fiction propaganda posters and broadcasts written in the voice of the state that issues them. It contains no sexual content or nudity, no drug or alcohol use, and no depictions of self-harm.
