The hammer falls before you know the full haul

A container of goods sits in front of you, but the valuable finds may be hard to spot. A bulky shape could be worn-out machinery. A small object could be the best find in the lot. Work with the clues you have and decide how far you are willing to bid.

Mystery Cargo: Auction Tycoon is a single-player 2D auction and resale game. Observe, bid, uncover the goods, then decide what to turn into cash and what to keep.

Watch the goods. Watch the buyers.

Three rival buyers want the same container. Some keep raising. Others hesitate or back out. Their reactions offer clues, but following their lead can cost you.

Inspect one item for an estimated value, knowing that rivals will increase their budgets too. Study a buyer and choose whom to pressure, or act uninterested to cool the room. You can use one observation strategy per container.

Make a small raise, bid aggressively, or walk away. Optional proxy bidding lets you set a limit. You pay the winning bid only if you secure the container.

Reveal the whole lot on one page

After the auction, the entire haul appears together. Hold and drag to scratch away the covers, revealing each complete item image and its rarity color. Switch to automatic mode to uncover items in sequence, or skip ahead with one button.

Each uncovered item adds to the revealed valuation. The full value stays unknown until the last item is open.

Keep a few finds. Sell the rest together.

Choose the items you want to keep in your warehouse, then sell the rest in one batch. Antique and machinery buyers offer better prices for suitable goods, within limited budgets and purchase quantities.

Keeping a favorite find means giving up its immediate sale proceeds. Warehouse space is limited, and the next auction needs cash too.

An estimate is not money in hand

Review the sale list before confirming, then compare the proceeds with your auction cost. An impressive valuation does not guarantee a profit. Even a good find might not cover those extra bids.

Sort your warehouse and return to the auction with the cash you have left. There is another container to consider—and another price to get right.
