About This Game

One More Town: 1960

One More Town: 1960 is an online strategy game on a map of the real Earth. Every player starts a country in 1960 in the same world, and builds it up from a single town.

Start a country anywhere on Earth.

Pick any spot on the real map and found your nation there. Every player shares the same world, so your neighbors are other people. Oil, coal and iron spawn where they really do in real life, and every place gets its weather from its real climate, from monsoon coasts to snow that builds up and melts in the thaw.

Build it up, and watch it come alive.

Send settlers out to claim land, then build farms, mines, mills and factories. You choose the buildings; the streets, the traffic and the people fill in on their own, so every town turns out different. Work your land by hand between buildings: chop timber, dig ore, tap rubber, pump oil, reap wheat and fish your own coast.

Trade with the whole world.

Sell to other players on one world exchange at your own prices, and race them to fill the Board's contracts for real cities of 1960. Every few weeks, nations bid to host the World Expo and the tourists that come with it.

Found a brand and design its headquarters/shops.

Start a brand and open its shops across your country: 36 kinds, from diners and coffee shops to arcades and bowling alleys. Then furnish it room by room. Rugs go under furniture, lamps go on tables and pictures hang on the walls. Every piece is made by players and sold between them, and the better your rooms look, the more your shops sell.

Or play the war world.

Wars can be declared from 1963. March armies across real borders and take land tile by tile, and send bombers to burn what is left. Capitals can never be taken, so there is always a way back. From 1968 you can build nuclear missiles. A nation that is hit fires back on its own, fallout drifts downwind for a year, and when half the world is under fallout, the season ends and a new world begins.

- Two public worlds: Economy, with no war at all, and War, the full game.

- One shared map of the real Earth, with real deposits and real climates.

- Six ways to harvest by hand, from the axe to the fishing line.

- Brands with 36 kinds of shops and headquarters you decorate piece by piece.

- Your own flag, flying over your capital and your armies.

- Private worlds for you and your friends through Steam, with rules you write yourself.

- Ranks and medals that stay with you from season to season.
