It’s 1985, and you’ve been promoted to software tester, a highly sought after job. The work seems simple enough: test a series of new simulations. But the longer you spend testing, the harder it becomes to ignore the feeling that something about these simulations is very, very wrong.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“It is being built by a solo developer and early access lets me refine balance, pacing, and content with player feedback. I want to keep the narrative mystery intact while the game evolves.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Approximately 9 to 12 months. It will depend on feedback and progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to expand on the systems available in Early Access with additional missions, locations, deeper systems, more story content, and polish based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core Revenant Reclamation gameplay loop, the opening portion of the story, playable missions, the desk and CRT interface, control systems and supporting narrative elements. The game is fully playable in its current form with repeatable procedurally generated missions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently plan to offer Revenant Reclamation at a lower price during Early Access. As development continues and additional content, features, and polish are added, the price may increase over time, including when the game reaches full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout development. We plan to gather feedback through playtesting, Steam Community discussions, bug reports, and other channels as they become available. Player feedback will help guide balance, usability, and future updates during Early Access.”

About This Game

It’s 1985. You’ve just been promoted to software tester, one of the most sought-after positions at your company. The promotion comes with a substantial pay raise and you really need the money.

Your new job sounds simple enough: follow the instructions and test a series of experimental simulations.  At first, it feels like any other job.  Then the simulations start feeling off.

REVENANT RECLAMATION is a narrative-driven psychological horror experience built around an ordinary workday that quickly becomes anything but ordinary. You’ll find yourself navigating a job whose responsibilities extend far beyond what you expected and what you are comfortable doing.

The further you progress, the darker the work becomes and the harder it is to ignore what this job is really asking of you. How much are you willing to overlook to keep the "perfect" job?

SO, WHAT IS YOUR JOB?

Your Office is Fully Interactable

  • Operate a distinctly 1980s workstation filled with period inspired equipment like CRT technology, physical controls, paperwork, phone calls, and fax machines.

What A Work Day Entails

  • Use the equipment to run workplace simulations that grow more complex over time.

Follow Directions

  • Sounds easy enough, but some instructions are more complicated than they seem.

Choice

  • Navigate a darkening atmosphere as routine tasks will get heavier and heavier.
