About This Game

An RPG that keeps you company while you work

The Seven Beacons lives in a 110-pixel strip resting on top of your Windows taskbar. Your party fights there, in plain sight and out of your way, while you write, study or code. It doesn't ask you to watch: it moves on its own, and when you have a minute you open the panel and make the calls.

The Realm of Asteria broke when the Demon King snuffed out the seven beacons that guarded its roads. Yuki sets out alone after the last light; Ren, Haru and Grum join her along the way, each looking for something different.

What you do

  • Let the bar fight. Your party pushes on zone by zone, gathering gold, experience, materials, seeds and chests.
  • Prepare your party in short breaks. Open a chest, equip what came out, spend talents, plant, order a potion or a forging job, and get back to your day.
  • Light the beacons. Every region keeps a darkened one: a small board where you place your heroes, build towers and hold off the waves that come to put it out. Lighting it opens the road ahead.
  • Come back to work already done. With the game closed the expedition keeps gathering gold, experience and materials —two hours at first, and the guild stretches that limit—, the farm keeps growing and the forge finishes what you ordered.

What's inside

  • 22 zones across 7 regions, each zone with its own boss, all the way to the Demon King's castle.
  • 4 heroes who join as you advance: Yuki, vanguard swordswoman; Ren, protector and healer; Haru, siege mage; Grum, tank and battle craftsman. Each with their own abilities and talent tree, plus a guild tree.
  • 7 beacons defended as a small tower defense, with towers you upgrade along three different branches.
  • 131 pieces of gear with rarity, temper, forge grades and gems to set. They drop in sealed chests you open in the Armoury.
  • Ren's farm (five crops), Haru's alchemy (potions that last a while and permanent elixirs) and Grum's smithy, with four workbenches —smelting, forge, jewelling and workshop— that work on their own.
  • Guild contracts that renew when you claim them, and a merchant who every twelve hours offers duplicates of gear you already own.
  • Chronicles with the story of each region, the bonds between the heroes and a bestiary.
  • An endless mode of waves that opens once you defeat the Demon King.
  • A bar that fits your desk: adjustable width and alignment, a discreet mode that is shorter and has no backdrop, and a power-saving option that runs the game at 30 frames per second.
  • In English, Spanish and Portuguese.
