What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“SEAM is built around interacting with a world you can reshape with your hands. Getting that experience right means understanding how mining, building, and exploration feel beyond a short playtest.

Early Access lets us develop the game with feedback from players: where gathering becomes repetitive, which building interactions feel natural in VR, and what makes an expedition worth taking. We want that feedback to guide both improvements to the core gameplay and the addition of new content.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have not set a fixed date for leaving Early Access. We first want to understand how much iteration the core gameplay needs through broader player feedback before committing to a release window.

Our goal for the full release is a cohesive survival sandbox with satisfying progression, comfortable VR interactions, and reliable performance. We plan to share a clearer timeframe as development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand the world with additional biomes, resources, and voxel types, alongside more crafting options and new gameplay mechanics. The aim is to give players more reasons to explore and more possibilities for what they can build and create.

We also intend to refine progression, balance, VR interactions, and performance. The exact scope of these additions may change as development progresses and we learn from player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“SEAM is fully playable, with all core gameplay systems already implemented, including exploration, resource gathering, mining, crafting, and building.

The current version delivers the complete core gameplay experience, but with less content than we envision for the full release. Early Access is focused on expanding the amount and variety of content, alongside ongoing polish and improvements based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase during Early Access or at full release as the game expands. We have not finalized the full-release price. Any planned price increase will be announced in advance so players know what to expect.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Community discussions to collect bug reports, suggestions, and feedback. We are particularly interested in how comfortable the game feels in VR, how satisfying mining and building are, and where progression becomes confusing or repetitive.

We also plan to share development updates and patch notes, explaining what is changing and why. Player feedback will help us identify problems and prioritize improvements while keeping SEAM focused on its core experience.”

About This Game

The world is your building material.

SEAM is a VR survival sandbox where you don’t just explore the landscape—you reshape it with your hands. Mine resources, craft equipment, and build a home from the ground up. The hillside in front of you could become a mine, a shelter, or the raw materials for your next project.

Reach out. Dig in.

Use gravity gloves to pull resources from the terrain and gather materials beyond arm’s reach. Follow a vein of ore, carve a passage through rock, or clear space for construction. Your hands are how you work with the world, whether you’re taking it apart or putting something new in its place.

Small blocks. Room for detail.

Build more than a box to keep your belongings in. Small voxels give you finer control over your creations, from the shape of a doorway to the steps leading down into your mine.

Carve a home into a hillside, bridge a gap, or build above ground. Then step inside, see your work at its full scale, and adjust it around you. In VR, your base isn’t something you watch from a distance. It’s a place you inhabit.

Head out with a purpose. Come back with possibilities.

Explore above and below ground, gather materials, and turn your discoveries into useful equipment and new construction. Prepare at home before heading out, then bring back what you need for the next project.

A search for resources becomes a new tunnel. A mining trip supplies your next room. As you explore and build, the landscape starts to reflect the time you’ve spent in it.

Make your own way through the world—and build a reason to come home.
