About This Game

Omega Transmission is a short, retro (PSX/DOS/90s) styled action-platformer, set in a dystopian future where AI has taken over human civilization. Humanity's last chance is a sophisticated electromagnetic signal network, deployed through antennas on the tallest skyscrapers of Megalopolis. When all antennas are activated, the revolution network is enabled, overthrowing the regime and neutralizing all AI activity.

Megalopolis is comprised of 20 procedurally generated and progressively bigger cities. At the top of the tallest skyscraper of each city (polis), you will find the antenna that is part of the revolution's network. Your goal is to find, reach and activate the antenna in each level. For a single run, you would need to go through all 20 cities and activate the final antenna to eventually send the Omega Transmission. This would typically take between 10-30 minutes.

Movement is provided by your exoskeleton. The main mechanic is grappling; you will use it to traverse the huge cities that are part of the Megalopolis. The signal meter provides a hint for the location of the antenna; the better the signal quality, the closer you are.

Operating your exoskeleton is not free; scavenge battery packs scattered around the cities to replenish your energy meter.

Every now and then you will get the chance to upgrade your modules (movement, jump and grappling) and to add or modify your abilities; microprocessor chips left around the environment will be your much needed resource:

There are 4 different environments: Night, Toxic, Nuclear Winter and Thunderstorm:

You only have one chance of reaching the antenna of the final city. If you run out of energy or fall into the void in the meantime, your mission, and human civilization, are over (and you have to start from the beginning).
