Travel through ancient portals, enter dangerous worlds, and fight your way through the darkness. With the help of an unexpected ally, uncover the truth behind the village, the portals, and the reason these four lives have become connected.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

STORY MODE

Follow the story across 50 chapters, each built around its own challenges.

Solve puzzles, defeat enemies, rescue allies, explore new locations, and gradually uncover what is really happening.

Story Mode has its own progression and does not use the XP or level-up system found in the survival modes. Your progress through the story, however, affects what becomes available when you enter a run.

You always begin a run with the Sword. Complete Chapter 2 to unlock your knight's unique throwable weapon as an additional starting weapon, and Chapter 3 to add the Orb.

SURVIVAL MODE

Survive for 30 minutes as increasingly dangerous waves of enemies surround you.

Defeat enemies, gain levels, choose upgrades, and shape your build as the run develops.

Discover 10 different weapons through level-up choices, with up to 6 weapon slots per run. Every weapon has 10 levels, and reaching Level 10 can evolve it into a more powerful form — provided you have unlocked its matching permanent village upgrade.

That means:

10 weapons

10 levels per weapon

10 weapon evolutions

Every run can develop differently depending on the weapons and upgrades you choose.

You can also select from 11 passive cards during a run, improving abilities such as movement speed, regeneration, damage reduction, pickup range, sword damage and speed, orb range and speed, maximum health and more.

These upgrades belong only to that run. When the run ends, you start building again.

ENDLESS MODE

No finish line. No 30-minute limit.

Fight for as long as you can while the pressure continues to rise. Build your character, evolve your weapons, and see just how far you can survive before the darkness finally overwhelms you.

PERMANENT VILLAGE PROGRESSION

Between runs, return to the village and spend Blue Potions in the Upgrade House.

There are 15 permanent upgrade paths, with 71 upgrade levels in total, that carry over between runs.

Improve core stats such as:

Speed, Power, Range, Orb Power, Attack Speed, Orb Attack Speed, Armor, Health, Regeneration and Plating.

You can also permanently unlock additional uses of Reroll, Skip and Banish, giving you more control over the choices offered during a run.

Want a greater challenge?

Upgrade Charm to increase the number of enemies, or Curse to make enemies stronger in exchange for better rewards.

These permanent upgrades combine with your temporary run upgrades, allowing your possibilities to expand as you continue playing.

BUILD YOUR RUN

During Survival and Endless runs, you can combine:

10 weapons with 10 levels each

10 evolved weapon forms

Up to 6 weapon slots per run

11 temporary passive upgrades

15 permanent village upgrades

Experiment with different combinations and create a different build each time.

FOUR CHARACTERS, FOUR STORIES

Choose between four different characters, each drawn into the same mystery for reasons they do not yet understand.

Every character is introduced through their own retro pixel-art comic sequence, revealing a glimpse of their life before arriving at the village.

Enter the portals. Grow stronger. Discover the truth.

And survive the darkness before dawn.
