The bots have taken over the hyperlanes. The megacorps want them back and they sponsor wayriders like you to do it, broadcast across every screen in the galaxy.

Byte, your board companion helps you learn the ropes as a rider after their last one disappeared. You drop into your first lane from the ship. The lanes start easy but they do not stay that way.

Every run is broadcast and every death is monetized.

No thumbsticks, teleporting.
A new hoverboard movement system built from the ground up to feel like part of your body.

Lean left and right to move across lanes, or forward and back to pitch your board to climb and drop.
Reach forward to push the throttle and get close to enemies or pullback to slow it down and pick your targets.
thumbsticks for movement. Your body does that.

Enemy placement, shot patterns and vehicle positions are all built around the assumption you are physically moving.

Not a fan of full body lean? Adjust to head tilt, height, controller gestures, thumbstick, or blend inputs until it clicks.

Designed around motion sickness from day 1. The lean system and world are created to match your bodies real physical lean and movement to what you see and feel in game to avoid that nausea feeling you get when sliding around in VR.

The world is designed so you feel solid on the board and in your local space with enemies holding relative position while the tunnels move and hyper speed come from cleverly designed VR systems for visuals and distortion with shader effects not FOV.

You can find what works for you with 5 comfort sliders or alternate input options through tilt, gesture, crouch or thumbsticks.

You get stronger but the lane gets harder. As you travel more enemies show up, counts increase, unique enemy behaviours create interesting challenges.

Learn to handle blasters, beams, bursts, homing rockets, blades and bombs coming at you from different patterns and situations.
Shots have a warning window and direction so enemies stay readable and you have to read the gaps and make quick dodges to weave danger.

Play well to increase your hype and move faster with bigger payouts so you can keep up.
Every stage ends with gate guardians either a unique elite enemy group or multi stage boss enemies so make sure your ready.

Between each run you return to your ship and can spend some of the credits youve gained on adding new cards to show up in a run.

Work through over 150 challenges to get rewards and rise through the ranks of rival riders. Get access to more cards or even unlock helmets or palettes to customize your rider.

Compare your best run in online leaderboards.

Every run starts with a sponsor deal. You sign a sponsor deal to win their favour which affects the options what the pitstop brands are willing to offer.

Lean into pitstop lanes to buy, sell, recycle or risk a mystery card .
Each brand has a different specialty so choose your loyalties wisely but get enough favour with one to unlock legendary cards.

Choose the next environment you jump to wisely as each has their own unique biomes with risks, modifiers and enemy protocols.

Powerful cards can adjust your whole playstyle from a high damage weakspot targeting or stacking statuses to taking down entire swarms with chain lightning.

Hey, I'm a solo developer from Dublin, Ireland. Hyperlane Highway started as a small experiment in head tilt movement experiment. Then I paired it with a modular roguelike stat system the movement and builds clicked and it grew from there. It has taken a lot of time and effort to learn and build everything solo without a budget from systems, models, shaders and actually producing it to completion but im so happy im able to share it now and hope it is something you enjoy!

Im continuing to work on this and build it with the community. Your feedback goes straight to me and will help shape the game. Join the discord community from the links above.

Try the demo and if its for you then a wishlist or share helps more than youd think.

Target Compatibility: Meta Quest (2,3,3s, Pro) and PC VR via SteamVR (Valve Index, Steam Frame and all OpenXR compatible headsets)
